Why they're always doomed to lose, is because this kind of character background is being overused in everything (not only anime/manga, but also games, VN's, LN, you name it. And most of the time, the 'aloof-mysterious-transfer-student-most-popular-somehoew-got-close-to-MC' girl gets the vocal of a show because they're the one who sets the plot on motion. Either in harem or in not-harem, romance or not-romance. |
