I have been loving the album "Tuned In...Turned On" by Channel X. Channel X was very famous in the early-mid 90's rave scene over in Belgium, and they also have a following in Japan (thanks to appearing on the Avex's Maharaja Night and House Revolution compilation series in the 1990's, and on various Hyper Techno CD's in the 2000's). Anyways, this album has a lot of classic rave songs, most notably "Take It To The Top" and "Rave The Rhythm".

I also recently listened to "The Astral Files" by Astral Projection. That was another great album (goa trance), and it was almost as good as "Dancing Galaxy" and "Another World".

Right now, I'm actually listening to the album "Verliebt..." by Blümchen. It is a happy hardcore album, and it is in German! Yay for insanely fast music in a foreign language! Anyways, I'm on track 9 out of 12, and it is a fun album so far.

P.S. I'm not German, none of my family is from Germany, and I don't understand any German. She could be singing about naughty stuff, for all I know... ^_^

Albums:
Level, Denial ("End Title", "Home", and "Hold It In", mainly)
AP2, Suspension Of Disbelief ("Resurrection Of The Ravens" ftfw)
Defib:Sternum Compilation (pretty much every track on this one)
Audio Paradox, The Iniquity Of Time ("Grace One" and "Cached Influx", although I'm warming up to other tracks, like "Collision")

All of them are or close to being some form of Industrial. Those last two CDs can actually be found for free on Flaming Fish Music's website, under the Releases section.

Other stuff:
Blaqk Audio, "Mute" and "Where Would You Like Them Left?"
Celldweller, "Birthright (Demo)" and "Halloween"
DJ Aligator feat. Lin Samuelsen, "Do You Realise"
Helalyn Flowers, "Dgtal Blood"
Star You Star Me, "Burden"
Subkulture feat. Klayton (of Celldweller), "Erasus"*

*The whole single, actually, although the 'B-side' (er, track 2) is just the instrumental version of the song.

State Of Mind - Take Control (2006)

This is a great drum and bass album. I had only listened to an Aphrodite album before this, and I didn't realize that drum and bass could be this complex. I guess I'll have to listen to more jungle/drum and bass now!

check out Pendulum - Plastic World.

it's a drum n' bass track. usually, Pendulum isn't the best composer, but this song is definitely worth listening to.

I recently listened to the album "Silicon Trip" by Shakta (another goa trance album). I really enjoyed this one, as it is very dark and brooding, but still complex. It was also quite fast (for trance music) as eight of the ten tracks were between 141 and 150 BPM, with only two of them being slightly slower (134 and 135 BPM respectively).

I just listened to most of LovePara^2 4 today. It was a pretty good mix CD, with mostly eurobeat songs and some rave (similar to the "hyper techno" on We Love TechPara).

A few days ago, I also listened to the first few tracks of Recycled Plastik, by Plastikman (1994). I wasn't familiar with minimal techno before listening to this, but I really enjoyed it. I hope to listen to the rest of the album soon!

I listened to a few new albums (to me, at least) recently:

Eurobeat Flash 04 (1995)

Some classic eurobeat here. I enjoyed it, though it does sound different from today's eurobeat. Most of the songs are from Hi-NRG Attack, though a few of the songs are from Time.

Kevin Yost - One Starry Night (1999)

I had never heard deep house before, and it was interesting. It sounded like a combination of jazz and house music. The songs did make me a bit tired, so I listened to a few of them at a time before going to sleep (over the course of several nights).

Kid Koala - Scratchhappyland (2000)

This one was a turntablism single, so it went by pretty fast. The samples on here were pretty weird, but I enjoyed it. I plan on listening to some more Kid Koala soon.

There were sections of a few other albums I listened to, but I'll wait to post comments on them until I finish listening to the album.

I've been listening to lots of music recently. One of my favorite "new" artists is Jean-Michel Jarre. He started writing electronic music in the late 1960's, and became very famous with his 1976 album Oxygène.

I have also been listening to lots of music by Autechre (IDM), Kid606 (hardcore techno/glitch), Perrey & Kingsley (hilarious electronic pop music from the 1960's) and The Knife (2000's electropop), and Monolake (minimal techno).

One artist I started getting into recently was Boom Boom Satellites. Aside from having their one track Shut Up and Explode featured in Xam'd: Lost Memories as the opening theme, another one of their tracks was featured in The Dark Knight during the club scene.

EDIT: Larva by L'Arc~en~Ciel is a pretty awesome track, considering they're a rock band.

I've listened to a little bit of Digitalism. I've never heard of Pogo, though.

As for music I'm listening to now, I am really loving Matrix & Futurebound (drum & bass). I heard their album "Universal Truth" a year or two ago, and I'm still listening to it. It's also great exercise music for intense cardio - the BPM stays around 174 throughout the album!

doesn't it bother anyone that hardstyle is just straight-up beats? (well, i guess sometimes they try to do some syncopation as well)

yeh i don't really like harstyle, there is only a few songs like i like that could be called hardstyle, but there probably not actually now i think about it. Noisia are great, i didn't like them the first time i heard them but now i can understand why people think they are good.

Sad to see this club inactive, so I guess I'll contribute! My latest obsession is the artist Pilotpriest; often described as "retro electro" and "synthwave" music. I love just about every song he's done. Here's his Bandcamp profile if anyone is interested! I'm also heavily into P-Model, Boards of Canada, Plaid, Above & Beyond, Ochre, Mind.in.a.box, Thyx, and so many more.

Also, does anyone here like spacesynth? It's quite the "hidden gem" in electronic music if you ask me. One of my favorite subgenres.
