What are your favorites? Here are mine:

Taiyou no Ko Esteban's OST is entirely made up of melodic synthesizers. It actually got a few 80s anime fans into electronic music. Link

Some people took to re-orchestrating the soundtrack which sounds amazing. Link
The OST for the anime Tekkonkinkreet was composed by the prominent IDM duo, Plaid. I wish more of my favorite artists were involved in anime! Link
