That two-page spread was really good.

This manga was better than I expected, the short stories were all connected and there was an actual conclusion, even though the chapters varied a lot in quality.

I think that the final words, "as long as you're alive, something good is bound to happen", encompasses what 'What a Wonderful World' is all about. We all have our own problems in life, some more severe than others, but as long as we keep on living we'll eventually find that light at the end of the tunnel. It's a pretty dark manga, but it has enough moments of optimism that it doesn't feel inaccessible.

Just like 'Nijigahara Holograph', the only other work I've read from Asano, it has that style of story telling where early chapters reference later chapters, and that the characters are all interconnected in some way. Unlike Holograph, though, 'What a Wonderful World' is actually quite accessible.

A solid 8/10 from me.

Really really liked this manga. Asano always leaves me with a bittersweet feeling when I finish one of his works. That last line is killer even though it's so simple.

Some of the stories were better than others, but overall a very good package. Same themes as present in other Asano works, especially in Solanin, but with numerous shorter stories instead of a single person narrative. I loved the the stories connected together in one way or another, really emphasized the idea that we all have our own problems, even if it may not seem like it from the outside. The supernatural elements were perhaps a bit too big in this particular manga, I prefer when Asano focuses more on realistic stories. It also felt a bit more unrefined in art, probably because it's one of his earlier works - or maybe the scans were just bad.

A solid 8/10.

I also find them depressing to some extent, but this also showed me that life, although it's so difficult, can be beautiful at times. I think I'll try harder now. Maybe I can still manage to do something.

Nice read. I can relate. Good reference for the future.
"but as long as you're alive, something good is bound to happen. I'm sure of it." I hope and I'll believe.

A bit inferior but similar to his other works like solanin and sekai no owari no mae, and the message is pretty much summed up in the last line. Optimism mixed in with the cruel fangs of reality, that's what it's all about. Some chapters were obviously better than the other, but that's to be expected from random snippets of people's lives. Overall 8/10.

I really like these more mellow stories from inio. It got me to think about a lot of things, sad things particularly but all the more thought provoking 9/10

Not as consistent as Sekai no Owari no Yoakemae but a solid work nonetheless.

The last program was great and ended it on a high note. Tied with shinigami dog arc.
