| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- How it is possible there is not discussion thread for this anime yet? I did enjoy this first episode. Good animation quality (and if you consider everything was hand-drawn it's even impressive), likeable characters and great (or maybe even amazing) soundtrack :-) Hard to say where the story will go, but it wasn't boring (at least for me). |

 What's funny is this feels just like like a modern anime, but it has retro charm and SDGF planes instead of WWII ones like a 2010s anime would probably have. It's not anime until it's CGDCT + idol anime + military otaku geekout Lush animation, very nice. Macross with JASDF planes. This is doing Sakura Wars shortly before that was a thing. A war breaks out and the gals kill a lot of men before singing J-pop the same day like nothing happened stone cold Oneesan is best girl   or maybe Yayoi is best girl  |

| Yeah, this was a surprisingly awesome first episode. But does anyone else hear the weird hushed vocals every now and then on the left audio channel during the final chorus of the final idol performance? It starts around at 46:15 or so, sounds like some vocal outtakes were forgotten into the mix. |
