The term otaku describes an avid collector or enthusiast, especially one who is obsessed with anime and/or manga. Many of the otakus in this club will spend a year or more watching anime during their lifetimes. Some are well on their way to reaching this milestone with over 100 days of anime watched.

MyAnimeList.net's total days of anime watched stat is interesting. This stat is recorded for all club members throughout the year. The data is posted here as well as input to an Excel spreadsheet. On the drawing board is a web site featuring charts and graphs of the data for individuals and the club as a whole.
