These are series that may appeal to an otaku with an ENFJ or INFJ-type personality.

Not including films. The seasons added are subjectively the best to me. These are not in order.

Hello, and please note that the animes mentioned on this list are all philosophically driven. They may cause uneasiness while watching them because they make us introspect on our ideas of how life is/should be accompanied by complex abstract questions that often don't have answers.

On a positive note, these animes will introduce you to new and unique perspectives as you'll be shown the philosophies of others and learn how they perceive the world. Due to this, you may inherit some of their thought processes and learn to empathize with their reasoning, which further develops your own theories and understanding of the world, human nature and the purpose of our existence.

On a negative note, many of these animes will take philosophical concepts and blow them out of proportion to force the message or make it obvious.
Consequently, many of the animes on this list will also be uncomfortable to watch.
If you're a sensitive individual, please prepare yourself mentally before watching any of these animes, as some thick skin may be required at times.

This stack is dedicated to a variety of anime, the events of which either directly take place in a Victorian setting, or emulate it in one way or another through (dark) steampunk or romantic aesthetics and philosophy. I also included shows with significant inspiration from Victorian history or literature. Given the setting, most of these anime are pretty gothic and sophisticated, but that wasn't the end in itself.

Detectives that travel around with an absolute freak just a total freak of a thing. Demons? Gods? Corpses? Puppets? Some kind of freak. The detective can also be weird. Hyouka doesn't count because both protags are equal amount of weird but acceptable little freak. Death note also doesn't count because Ryuk is the one who's followed around by a freak, not L. Please feel free to suggest more. As of now, I've only seen Un-Go and Sakon, both of which are recommendations but Sakon is a lot more tentative of one.

Gothic art is an aesthetic movement which places heavy emphasis on an atmosphere of mystery, terror and haunting. It is commonly characterised by supernatural entities and occurrences, unsettling and macabre narratives, a preoccupation with the past, bleak and decaying landscapes, claustrophobic and oppressive atmospheres as well as heavy use of metaphors and psychological conflicts. The aim of this stack is to collect notable and defining works which incorporate the Gothic and/or elements of the genre in the medium of anime.

Or in other words, Industrial Era, Victorian Era, WWI WWII themed anime.

I watched all of these anime during Summer 2022

Top anime (in my opinion)

New in Summer 2022:
Top 1 KUMICHOU MUSUME TO SEWAGAKARI, the story is about a yakuza gang member who is ordered by his boss to look after his boss's daughter, the plot is good, cool, slice of life, there are funny and sad things too
Top 2 ISEKAI YAKKYOKU is also a good story, the MC is from the modern world who dies in his sleep and then gets reincarnated into an Isekai, well the storyline is very typical of Isekai but I think it is interesting and unique because it is related to drugs, illnesses and the MC opens a pharmacy in another world and makes various kinds of medicines , it is discussed regarding tuberculosis, bubonic plague, influenza. Even though the theme is isekai historical magic, the situations and responses of the people are similar to real life situations, especially during the bubonic plague arc
Top 3 KAMI KUZU IDOL is also interesting, it's a funny story about a male idol but he doesn't intend to be an idol, he's too lazy, suddenly you can see the ghost of a female idol who is cheerful and enthusiastic, the ghost can enter the boy's body, so the guy's personality changes

Sequel:
SHADOWS HOUSE is interesting in the second part, from the first part it is also unique because the story is about life in a shadow house without a face who lives with a living doll (as the face), starting to reveal a mystery and the dark side that is in that house, the opening is also the best, it fits really well. Same as the anime story

Completed Series:
KAKEGURUI TWIN even though it only aired this season only because Netflix adapted it so the story about gambling at school immediately ended, it's a shame the ending is left hanging, the live action has come out first, the live action storyline is the same as the anime n it's more complete because there is a continuation of the ending of the anime

Movie:
CONAN MOVIE 25 about Furuya Rei's past and his friends who were in the police
