Both feature girls with outwardly perfect lives who hide their otaku hobby from family and friends. Both of them eventually outwardly embrace their hobby.

Both series have a guy discovering a girl's secret and trying to protect that secret, while also growing closer to the girl as the story progresses. Both are predominately Romance Comedies.

Both series have female lead characters who are obsessed with anime, manga and otaku culture.

I'm surprised know one recommended this one. Two ordinary guys find out the secret of a high class family and eventually become friends with the girl and her maids or butler. Both shows has loads of comedy and humor.

The main girl char have the same attitude.... She likes to do something but can't express it to others...... fun anime with some serious moments and comedy....

Both involve the most popular girl in class falling for the plainest boy in class.

Jitsu wa Watashi wa and Nogizaka Haruka No Himitsu are each enjoyable and humorous romantic comedies and both focus on the male mc discovering the secret of his female interest and being asked to keep it lest she suffer emotionally because of the aforementioned secret and forms off of that basis for their friendships, eventually blooming into romance. Nogizaka focuses on her being an otaku, while Jitsu wa Watashi wa focuses more on her being a vampire.

if you like anime which balance the line between horny and wholesome these shows fit the bill. Although Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu shows her age a bit, it still definitely worth a watch, especially if you enjoyed the more "anime knowledge" parts of My dress-up darling.

Both anime feature a female otaku forming a romantic bond with a male they meet through their hobby. Both stories feature one guy surrounded by many girls, but both romance stories end conclusively. Both have copious amounts of fanservice. Though it takes until season 2 for Nogizaka Haruka, there's an extremely similar "vow of love" scene in both of these anime. In my opinion, both are underwatched.

Both anime have cute seiyuus that fills the role of the main female lead. Maids are also evident in both titles.

The main heroine of both animes are a princess-like girl who loves a certain guy. And both guys are very alike. they are somewhat cool and wants to protect their friends...both animea are love-comedy!!

Both animes are about beautiful girls who hide the fact that they are fans of anime. Haruka and Umaru are very similar when they are at school.

they both have girls fighting over him like haruka little sister wants yuto for herself(and the maids)

Both of these anime have a great romantic story line in which the two main characters form a unique and special bond. Also, both of the female leads are from high society but are down to earth and don't seem to care about social standing or wealth when it comes to the ones they love.

You want ecchi, pretty ojou-sama girls, maids, and a simple guy with a lots of lucky? You must try both series, contains romance, harem...maybe, and ecchi.

• Both Take Place In A School • Both ROM/COM • Both Female Leads Have A Secret • Male Lead Has To Keep Her Secret

Although Hatsukoi is much more of a slice-of-life, both are great romance anime that have a few cliches, but they make them their own. Both can get crazy at times, but their strongest points are the more serious aspects, like the drama and romance. Also, from my own personal experiences, I have found that fans of one series tend to also enjoy the other.

They both involve romance, but I highly recommend watching Shana BEFORE watching Nogizaka since there are quite a few moments in Nogizaka that require having watched Shakugan no Shana (well, there's others as well but this is the most prominent).

watch it, trust me once you watch the first episode of ichigo 100% you will be hooked< it is not as good as nogizaka haruka no himitsu but it is still a great romance/comedy anime

About otakus and love for anime

Both have very koi female lead characters, who are rather naive about certain things. They also have anime figurines in the show. Both shows are rather simple, rather sweet, mild story line that is rather relaxing.

I was kind of surprised not to see a recomendation between these two Anime as of yet. Both deal with Otaku romances that occur over time rather then right away. There is also a bit of realization of dreams in both Anime.

Nogizaka start hitting guys because she has never been so close with 3D males after all her life spent with anime. If that is actually happening it would be really cool, with plagiarism concern. Both show are already uber similar in the way that they both have an interesting main couple going out in interesting way with a good supporting casts.

I think you will like one of this anime if you have seen one of them. In NHK the girl help the boy and in Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu the boy help the girl, which is similar. Both also have Otakus culture or w/e it calls inside the anime. I also think their relationship is similar because all four of them is quite dense about their true love. NHK is little darker than Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu and have little more older characters so I like NHK little more.

I just felt that they really have the same feeling .. The animation maybe, not sure but it really reminds me of it.

Both are ecchis about a girl and boy that pretty much fall in love from the start, as apposed to the story going along and they slowly get more and more connected. Haruka is similar to Moka is RV by how they act very sweetly, softly and are both very popular in their school for being very pretty. Also, they both react similarly when they think someone is taking away who they love. In RV Capu2, Kokoa looks similar to Mika in NHNH, too.

Both revolve around a seemingly perfect girl with a shocking secret that is accidentally revealed to a boy.

Both have strong romance ,slice of life and school elements. Canvas 2 is more art-themed, involves deeper storylines while Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu is more light-atmosphered and more otaku-themed.
report Recommended by Dunkjoe
In both series, the lead male and female characters became boyfriend and girlfriend easily and grew their relationships over the episodes. They also had to overcome obstacles. Narue no Sekai contains more love stories of other people other than the lead characters and features aliens.

Both have a close friendship throughout the series of the main characters who grow closer. They are both surprisingly fun to watch especially if you dislike Violent retribution anime.
report Recommended by Moonmonk
Both involve a secret between two people who end up drawing closer to each other. They both have some adult content, but Nogizaka is more of a fan-service tease, whereas Midori no Hibi there's brief & humorous clear scenes... If you like Midori no Hibi, you'll like Nogizaka!

Surprised this hasn't been recommended yet. Although School Rumble doesn't involve a main character being an "otaku", it focuses primarily on the romance aspect - like this show does. I'm recommending this coming fresh off of watching this show and somehow it struck me, that I enjoyed this anime in the same ways I enjoyed School Rumble: it knew that people wanted to see romance throughout the series, and, by-and-large, it delivers fabulously.

In both cases there is heavy romance and some slice-of-life concentrated around the main couple. Some harem involved. Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu is more otaku-based, while Toradora! is more of school life.
