I just didn't like the plot or the characters' personalities, especially the main blonde girl. I'm not a huge fan of harems but I wanted to try it and just found it not appealing.

Yeah, I seriously had it set in my mind that I would never watch it.
I don't really remember why I decided to start it, I think it was because I watched Umineko and needed something more.

So I was stalking your list and I saw your thing for Kuroshitsuji.
I have a fear of torture also, so that's why I'm never going to watch Higurashi lol.
The oven scene was seriously the only torture scene per say, although there's some gore later.
