I've been watching anime for around two decades and reading manga for almost as long. I grew up with a varied anime diet of mahou shoujo, adventure comedies and post-apocalyptic violence, all before the age of ten. Then I took a break from it for a few years, owing to lack of resources and accessibility. That was the Dark Ages of the 1990's.
I picked up my addiction again in the my mid-teens and have been watching and reading on-and-off ever since. Now that I'm in my early twenties I found that although my old favourites are still dear to my heart, recently I tend to prefer josei and seinen series and their j-drama adaptations (e.g. Kimi wa Petto, Honey & Clover, Hotaru no Hikari, Nodame Cantabile). Favourite genres are drama, comedy, slice-of-life and crime/mystery/psychological thriller. A dash of romance once in a while is also good!
I also love reading doujinshi and listen to a lot of doujin and seiyuu music. My general musical taste is pretty broad. I'm not much of a gamer but I love 07th Expansion's When They Cry (Higurashi/Umineko) series, Type-Moon, Touhou and a few puzzle/RPG games. I miss my old consoles. ;_;

Note: My anime and manga lists are rather incomplete at the moment, I'll get around to updating them sometime. Many anime series are on-hold due to a lack of time and my short attention span. Many manga series are missing because they lack MAL entires. Again, I'll submit them when I have more time.
My rating/score system:
10 = godsend
9 = amazing stuff
8 = really enjoyable
7 = quite good
6 = a bit boring/slow
5 = lost interest
1-4 = waste of time
I can be a little harsh when rating shows that I find rather generic (harem, endless shounen, mecha), but if they seem cute or interesting and can make me laugh then they'll receive a higher score.

The university park was fun. I watched cricket there and I tried to figure the rules and scoring while watching it. I really wanted to see the Oxford libraries and compare them to Berkeley's.
Oh punting was fun. Wobbly boat and tiring from pushing it, but once I got the hang of it. It was fun. I totally forgot how to rudder from my sailing days.
Well, so far I've hit the Buckingham Palace and saw the Changing of the Guard and then Westminister Abbey. That was pretty because it was great to see all these famous people buried there. And then I hit the Tate Modern. I didn't quite like the surrealism exhibit but the cubism exhibit was pretty cool. I crossed the Millennium Bridge and took a look at St. Paul's Cathedral and looked at London Bridge. I think I'm heading to the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, and British Museum today followed by watching Les Mis at night.
I like London. The metros are nice. They come very often and the cars are very clean unlike New York.
I was more interested about the Miyamiya/Hirohiro side of ef, but the Chihiro part wasn't so bad.
I'm now finished watching LF (just waiting for the special episode that's supposed to air this week). Now I can catch up on ZK and some of the other dramas that I've put on hold. Whew! Next thing you know I'm gonna have to worry about what to watch for next season's dramas now that a bunch have ended or are ending.
Yup, I love sports anime/dramas/manga/movies, etc. maybe 'cuz they're more about working hard and having a passion for something, etc. rather than the actual gameplay.
The only thing that I noticed about the cream puffs in ZK was that Riiko added orange liquor to it when she was first making it for Soushi. I don't know of any place that has orange-flavored cream puffs, let alone w/ orange liquor. My bf and I have to go to a couple of cities over to a bakery in a mainly Japanese area called Beard Papa. It tastes best when we heat it up in the oven after a long trip of bringing it back home. Obviously since it's so far, we don't go there that often.
Ah well. Doesn't matter. I saw the Bridge of Sighs in Oxford already since I'm here right now =P. My friends commented on how it is very much like the literal name as one sighs when one sees how unimpressive it is.
I didn't see a mirrored floor in the catacombs. I wasn't really scared and was more of scarying other people and they end up clinging on me.
Yes, what I really enjoy about shoujos is the 1st-person female voice. I think it's really cute and reveals a lot about the character. I'm hoping for a Ghost Hunt 2 since the end of it was rather unsatisfying and also Mai is ridiculously cute.
I don't remember when it picks up, but when it does I was going OMG OMG holy crap epic drama and stuff. I loved the ending. The whole anime once it picked up from the boredom and lull at the beginning was just amazing. Very beautiful and original romance.
Oh I didn't even notice that I saw it. Was it a bridge that was around that round place where there was a lot of gondolas? The map that I had of Venice didn't have the Bridge of Sighs labeled so I had no idea which one it was.
Yes, I'm coming to Oxford. I don't remember why we planned on going there, but we're taking a day-trip from the stay in London to visit Oxford. I'll be sure to mark down those suggestions for Oxford as your previous suggestions for Venice were very useful =P
The catacombs were fun. Lots of bones, but very dark to take a picture. The admission was only 3.50 euros so definitely worth the price unlike the cost to go up to the top of the Eiffel Tower.
Haha sorry. I don't think you give off much of an indication either way so neutral and it being the Internet, I just assumed I was talking to a guy. Mmm... strangely, I find that I enjoy shoujos a lot more than other people. Aria, Vampire Knight, Chi's Sweet Home, Ghost Hunt, Itazura no Kiss, Special A, Ouran High School Host Club, and Toshokan Sensou are all shoujos that I've enjoyed or currently enjoying. I think they're totally different and cute in their own way.
I've never tried story mode on lunatic mode, but I can play versus lunatic comp just fine. I guess I'm better at fighting games than danmaku.
Ahh... that's why I couldn't find it. It didn't cross the Grand Canal and it wasn't labeled on the map. Well, I'm going to Oxford anyways so I guess I'll just see it there.
Yep, made it to Paris. I saw the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Arc d'Triomphe, and Versailles so far. Will see catacombs, Notre Dame, Basilica de Sacre Coeur, and the Seine in the next two days. I've actually experienced a few interesting showers. Barcelona was a bit wet when it rained while I was taking a bus tour. In Florence, I met a ridiculous torrential downpour for like 20 minutes of non-stop heavy rain. Paris has been actually doing scattered showers. I'm hoping for not too wet for London. The overcast is nice for less burns but it does ruin some plans.
On random note, I totally just noticed that you were a girl when I was looking your profile the other day and I kinda did a backflip because for the longest time, I thought you were a guy. Not that it matters, I just wanted to share my confusion =P
Uh... yeah. I haven't beaten any of the Touhou games on normal except for the fighting ones. So I'll just wait until it comes out. I need to get my IaMP and SWR Lunatic mode back.
Haha yeah. Wait which one in Venice was the Bridge of Sighs. Did it cross the Grand Canal? I couldn't figure out which one it was. But yeah Venice was awesome. Too bad, I couldn't ride a gondola.
Yes, we dropped our last night in Rome, booked a train and a new hotel in Florence and just went. Got to see most of it. The church, the Uffizi, the Boboli Gardens, and the bridge. And yes stealth photos. And then I felt bad and stopped. Also I took a few because I didn't know I couldn't take them xD.
Um... isn't SA only at a demo right now? I think I might just wait until the full game.
Oh man. Venice was awesome. The city is so pictureque, I spent a bunch of time just taking pictures of canals. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to ride a gondola :< Thanks for all the suggestions that you made. They really helped in planning out where to go in Venice.
I'm a bit behind in uploading my pictures, but so far I've enjoyed Venice the most, followed by Santorini and then Cinque Terre.
