Synopsis

Taking place in an alternate timeline after Raimon Junior High wins the Football Frontier, a group of boys is playing soccer on a remote island off the coast of Japan. However, one day the students witness the demolition of the only soccer field on the island as they fight desperately to prevent its destruction, to no avail.

The only way to regain their soccer club is to become champions of the Football Frontier. Asuto Inamori and his classmates take up the offer, moving to mainland Japan and attending Raimon Junior High. Leaving behind their families and entering metropolitan Tokyo, they embark on a journey that will test their resolve to be the best in all of Japan.

Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenbin tells the tale of a group of friends whose desire for soccer burns brighter by the day. Through their encounters with several titans of the soccer landscape, including the mysterious coach Zhao Jinyun—they rush headlong into the Football Frontier to face the greatest teams Japan has to offer!

It had potencial written all over it, however the execution was a bit lacking.

A "what if" scenario from the 1st season (after the 1st arc). The previous OG characters now take a back seat and we have a new team and a new Raimon.
The problem with this was, while the 3 main characters were great, the rest of the new characters had no time to shine or have characterization whatsoever, which is a shame because it made many people root agaisnt them and in favor of the already loved and established OG characters.

As a fan of the whole franchise and someone who has watched inazuma eleven (incl. go, and all the specials) multiple times, I have to say, that this show is very disappointing. It's very nostalgic to see all the old characters again, but that just makes it even more frustrating to see how they are treated and downplayed just to highlight new characters. 1 of the worst things about this show has to be the fact that raimon always wins and that through random techniques/tatics etc. that they pull out of nowhere. Inazuma eleven ares is a disappointment, the franchise of Inazuma eleven is not taken seriously, the development of the characters is bad, the death of the protagonist's mother at the end had no weight in the plot was only to feel sorry for him, the 3 main characters have flaws, the one who has it the most is undoubtedly Asuto being the poorest of the 3, Nosaka and Haisaki are much more decent, another big problem he has are the Hitassus taken from his sleeve, the last minute, although Whether in the original saga they had a reason or a story behind, here they only ...
