This interest stack is for the series of anime that are part of the World Witches series, which include Strike Witches, Brave Witches, and Luminous Witches.

For the uninitiated the World Witches series takes place where instead of WW2 happening, an alien race called the Neuroi invaded and caused a bunch of death and destruction (you know, the usual). Under 20 year old girls that have powers (called witches) don striker units which are basically magic propeller engines in order to fly and fight the alien Neuroi race.

The Strike Witches series doesn't take the Neuroi threat too seriously but being the largest series does have the most action. Brave Witches takes the Neuroi threat more seriously than Strike Witches but it still has that silly air about it. Luminous Witches isn't really connected to the main Neuroi plot and instead is more of a slice of life about the Aviation Band.

Apart from panty-shots and "plot", the World Witches series does have some interesting character building, motivations, and development which isn't even found in some of the bigger isekai series in my opinion.
