action comedy ecchi harem
SynopsisOn his 16th birthday, Tomokazu Mikuri had a realistic dream where he sees a girl battling a giant floating monstrosity. When he wakes up, he is surprised that the girl is actually sleeping next to him... Whenever he sleeps from now on, he ends up back at the dream world, and more and more people that he knows keep showing up there too. He finds out from a mysterious masked woman in the dream world named Silk that they are fighting against one named Faydoom, and he is the one who provides the powers to those girls so that they can fight these monsters. And so it goes...
Characters & Voice Actors
Allow me to share my opinion on Yumeria.
When I started watching Yumeria, I really had no idea what I am going to see. My friend told me it has sci-fi genre with ecchi spice. I decided to give it a try. Softly saying I was disappointed.
The first few episodes were good, I expected pretty good one.
The story begins when Tomokazu Mikuri tells the viewer that today is his b-day. He falls asleep and wakes up in dream world.
When Tomokazu wakes up he is lying with unknown girl, Mone. She can only say, "Mone!" or "Monene” , (oh no!they plagiarized Pikachu or whatever).
Tomokazu goes to school, we meet more of Tomokazu’s relatives and friends who end up joining him in his dream world. Sounds clichéd, isn’t it? Thank god there was a few fan-service moments.
At first this anime was ok, I was about to give it 7-8, but then begins the second part.
Ridiculous, fool and laughable. Now Yumeria is just like porn in anime adaptation. I respect ecchi genre, but only when it’s like in Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari. Light and funny.
Fan-service maxes out. Anime tries to make plot interesting but fails.
The idea of battles in imagine world, fight scenes, off colored humor.
Overall a generic harem comedy.
Oh my, you call it imagine world? Too boring! .hack//Quantum, SAO these two are real good examples of good animation.
Characters are too generic. The only thing about animation is jiggling enormous big tits.
The animation lacks originality.
English dub was ok?! Hell you’re kidding me,right?
It’s really rare, but I liked English voices, Japanese was ok too.
The op, ed themes and OST were boring and forgettable.
The cast of characters in Yumeria, as I’ve already said, is boring and nothing special. Tomokazu is a perverted young man. The girls have no personalities, no depth, nothing special; they gave them one thing, enormous big tits.
I hoped to see pretty ok anime, but saw generic and boring anime
Overall, I give Yumeria 2 out of 10. Boring and nothing special. I could have spent those 6 hours doing something more interesting.
FEEDBACK: I would definitely appreciate feedback, it would help me to become a better writer. read more
Yumeria should come with the subtitle "an adventure in mediocrity", when it comes to games NAMCO (usually) try and to do something different or at least attempt to put an original spin on a tried and tested formula (see the Tales series), but with regards to Yumeria, there's doing things by the book and then there's copying the book word for word. Whilst it manages to avoid some of the major harem clichés, it falls slap bang on to every one for the action/magical girl genre like a combine harvester in a minefield.
The story is too poor to analyse in any real detail, just some lame protagonist and his magical girl friends save the world whilst ignoring a lacklustre love interest sub-plot that never develops. The harem parts of the series aren't littered with fanservice, so at least that's something. That's pretty much all there is to the plot, what little there is incredibly generic and if you can't see the plot twists coming, maybe it's time to stop wearing pants on your head. Despite this it's pretty well paced, episodes don't get ahead of themselves and the series ends when it should.
The animation is of the modern anime standard; it gets the job done but hardly leaves the viewer drooling. The dream world where much of the series takes place is pretty bland as well as having a hint of "The World" from .hack about it. The real world is nothing to rave about either. The special attacks are pleasing to the eye, well at least they are for the first ten times. Characters designs are solid for the most part if lacking in the imagination department. A special mention is needed for the Faydoom, the enemies of in the show. The are possibly the least threatening looking enemies in anything ever, they're literally oversized pieces of Lego that shoot lasers.
Soundtrack was surprisingly good, background music really suited the series and certainly added to the situation. The opening theme "24 Jikan Aishiteru" by Moyu Arishima & Tamaki Nakanishi is decent despite some ghastly animation during it, the ending theme "precious treasure" by Masumi Asano is real treat though. Voice acting is good enough although 'Mone' can getting a little irritating after the first one hundred times.
Considering the majority of the cast is female, it speaks volumes that the only likeable characters are the two male ones, one of which is the class teacher, a minor support character who brings some good laughs to the series. The female cast play their stereotypes well, whilst being as generic as possible. If the plot wasn't so predictable, the characters are still so dull its hard to sympathise with them all.
Yumeria isn't the most enjoyable of series, it's a struggle to get through some episodes, there are few good comedy scenes and few decent fight scenes, but the shows eagerness to show the same transformation scenes and special attacks can get really annoying. Overall it does just enough to keep the viewer interested, despite being generic, predictable and nothing already in many other shows, deserving of a 5.5 really. read more
They are both Action, Comedy, Ecchi, Super Power, Harem...They are both for teens and +13.Both has a main character thats a teen boy.
Both shows are all about girls that have strange powers and have a male that must help them to achieve their goals. This male is clearly getting into trouble all the time. Both don’t have interesting plot and characters. If you are big ecchi fan you will like these two.
In both series both main charcthers are put into a world and made to fight unknown enemies and neither main Charcthers realize their own powers that are causing the issues. Also in both the charcthers have to fight to save the world
Both animes involve an alternate universe/demension where a group of high schoolers go to fight enemies in order to protect the world.
The protangonists are very similar with their power being the strongest of the group and for their powers to awaken.
Both of the animes also have the enemies (in Yumeria they are Feydooms, in 11Eyes they are Black Knights) that the protangonist try to defeat.
Opening Theme"24 Jikan Aishiteru" by Moyu Arishima & Tamaki Nakanishi
Ending Theme"precious treasure" by Masumi Asano
