Both have weird animation effects and delve deeply into the psychological aspects of the characters.

Both have a similar art style and center around a mysterious and beautiful woman enslaved by her own desires.

In these series the main lead is a strong woman who is being hunted by an evil organisation for their own seemingly perverse purposes. The main characters have a physically intimate connection with the rest of the cast. Either of the anime aren't afraid to show the violent or graphic scenes.

Both shows have a wide range of clever, scheming characters that don't exactly act as either the heroes or villains of the series. The shows both have a lot of action, and have violence in many parts as well. They also share a dark, jazzy vibe, making it feel like the viewer is really in the shadows of the big city. (Note: Fujiko Mine is much more sexually explicit than DTB, though more for artistic reasons rather than for fanservice).

Both shows have similar style of animation and character design. Both shows use comedy and drama. Although Space Dandy is more comedic, where Lupin the Third is more dramatic. Both shows have present strong element of criminal underworld, but Lupin from perspective of criminal and Space Dandy of detective/bounty hunter. Space Dandy is set in futuristic world, and Lupin in past era likely 60´s or 70´s.

Both are noir fiction anime that explore similar themes, such as crimes, sex, and violence. Both anime have a femme fatale as one of the main characters, who uses both her charm and deadly skills to get what she wants. Both anime also feature other hitmen, mobsters, corrupt politicians, as well as guerilla soldiers, creating an overall similar mood.

Both have a noir 50s/60s atmosphere. The main female characters from both shows are more complex than average ones, they have their positve and negative aspects, and a past that still hunts them. Overall, they are both about the main character's adventures and interactions with other ones, showing us differents sides of their personalities. Fujiko is better at this, but they are still very similar.

I know, I know... The shows are rather different in terms of setting, style and presentation. However, at their core they are mystery shows that are adapted from legendary manga/TV series that tell an arc of each respective story from a unique view. Semi related, I'd also say that if you like any Sci Fi series you should love Pluto!

Both are heist animes while Sunabouzu sometimes does a little more than steal, both have a busty main girl having the main character lusting after them

- Both shows American style - both freaky adventure, denying logic and physics - light noir - Ms. Angel is a shadow of Fujiko - similar relationships between police inspector and protagonist

Both have a similar art style and heavy sexual overtones. Both also have a bizarre story.

You think the series will be light and happy like other fare in its genre. Then you're slapped in the face with the darkness of the show as well as the strange animation style (the witches realities and the Fraulein Eule sway are very similar).

In both series, there's a sense of action, drama, and adventure. Lupin and Roman have similar physical traits as well as personalities who starts in their respective series. The artwork from both series are somewhat similar in terms of character designs. They also have a similar atmosphere with that sense of thrilling fun and ridiculous gags thrown in at occasions.

Modern instalments of franchises that had their start in the old-school era of anime. Both are easy to get into with the The Woman Called Fujiko Mine being semi-prequel and Mazinger Edition Z: The Impact! being a remake. Watching this Lupin III series and Mazinger Edition Z: The Impact! together, I noticed similarities between the Kurogane 5 led by Tsuabasa Nishikori and the crew of Lupin III, Daisuke Jigen, Goemon Ishikawa and the centrepiece, Fujiko Mine. Like Goemon, Kikunosuke and Sensei are both stoic and the latter is a master swordsman, Lupin and Yasu the Weasel are both mischievous/perverted criminals. Similar to Daisuke Jigen's  read more

Rella & Fujiko are characters created by Monkey Punch. These anime offer the perspectives of a similar woman character in opposing career choices; a private detective and a thief. By watching these anime I was able to experience a unique point of view when using a "Monkey Punch lady" as the protagonist.

"Cease what you are doing and gaze at me. Stop everything, except for the beat of your heart. Theft: It is an especially sweet vice; more elegant than vandalism and more complex than simple robbery. A beautiful blend of secrets and crime and mischief and fear. Like dear Heathcliff, I'm defined by my all-consuming passion. Stealing is my great carnal pleasure, a pleasure for which which I will risk my life; a sexy prison from which there is no escape. Why am I this way?... Who can know? Who is the slave, and who is the master? Do divine eyes fall upon me any longer, or  read more

Trippy visuals, boobs, witty dialogue, boobs, boobs, fast paced action sequences, and boobs. Both are impromptu 70's revivals, as evidenced by the overall retro vibe.
