It's just average. Not amazing but definitely has elements that are below average. Functionally it's one of those manga's where the fights end up with people staring at each other monologuing (internal and external) about whatever until someone does something and someone gets one-shot. The pacing is both extremely fast and slow at the same time which is a feat in itself. Getting you as fast as possible to the next fight but then dragging it out by having flashbacks to just a little bit of what happened inbetween fights... but not enough to explain much of what's happening beyond how they got into said ...

Pochi-Gokko. (Manga) add
A story of a less-competent individual who isn't fit for job and work cycle that he's been thrust into by his older brother. Now finding himself in a the immature schemes of a naively obsessed highschool girl that sort of accidentally helps him stop blaming himself.

It's short and sweet. It accomplishes in 19 chapters everything that 100+ chapters or more would of other manga. Just without the mountainous amounts of filler material or uncalled for drama. Does give off fetishy vibes though because of the obvious Master/Servant thing it dances around.

Ending is actually good for what it is. Anything else I feel would have ...

For what purpose/10
It's a mini manga about more or less stockholme syndrome.
With a SUPER autistic human boy that you have to wonder how he even functions as a human and doesn't really learn anything and does the dumbest stuff on a whim that really makes you hate him.
A the female lead whos innocent beyond measure but physically repulsive and mistreated. Some bizarre shock-value implications near the end too for her that are just gross for the sake of being gross.
This was all purposely done.
And they ended on something akin to a cliffhanger AFTER wrapping the story up.

Looking at the author's other works he has some ...

I don't hate it. I actually liked it... most of the time. But the flaws make me unable to love it because they are such pointless flaws that didn't need to exist but they still purposely did some of them anyways and they do detract from the story and themes.

Pros
-Explores the dynamic between vampires and humans and is very honest about the issues it causes to nobody's benefit.
-Attempts to keep grounded on said issues while exploring mental health issues that can stem from or relate to the above.
-There isn't some random uncalled for reveal about a main villain or whatever.
-Explores other (and related) mental health ...

So BAD that despite the fact I rarely keep track of or review manga... I felt compelled to write a review. It's not even funny bad. It's just bad.
Pretty good artwork plagued by the most abominable and terrible writing you could imagine. If you can think of an eye-rolling overdone trope they do it unironically with a straight face. Including doujin tropes.
On that note there are doujins with better characters and writing that care more about the content they are making for a 1-3 chapter throwaway than this does in 5x going on 6x the amount of chapters

The writing is a "didn't even ...

It just made me genuinely angry. I don't even remember how I stumbled into this but I regret every moment of it.
The story tries way too hard to be "heart wrenching" and even goes on entire chapter-long tangents, having no pacing whatsoever so you can't tell if it takes place over a couple days or a week or whatever.
The artwork is fine but they have waterfalls of tears at every opportunity that feeds into how bad the story is.
Even the ending is upsetting because it's basically not even an ending. It's an epilogue after the events of the story to try and retroactively justify what ...

I don't understand why everyone is ranting and raving about this. I'm thoroughly indifferent from how generic it is. About the only point I can give to it is that it's violent and has blood which isn't very common for anime. However like alot of anime that does have blood it decides to go overboard and focus heavily on it as a focal point for alot of the visuals. I haven't been this disappointed by an anime that's been largely "acclaimed" by the masses since... Darling in the Franxx actually. But at least that show settled at a reasonable score and didn't maintain the praise ...

Kämpfer (Anime) add
It's truly a show that shows about as much promise as you could expect from a combination of Comedy/Ecchi/Harem and Action/Magic, except somehow misses most of those marks. Everything this does, something else has done far better... and sparse few have done worse.

The story is actually really bad. It starts with a dumb premise to begin with. You'd be forgiven for actually thinking that there will be payoff of any sort or an actual explanation as to what the hell is even going on... but there isn't. It's just a circlejerk for 11 episodes and a sad, sorry excuse for an ending that doesn't actually ...

About 10 years after the fact I'll briefly talk about this. It's ironic in context.

As with any "synopsis" it's incredibly inaccurate or rather it's misleading. All those beefy lines and elaborate description is for naught as it describes the first 5 minutes. It quickly spirals out of control with convoluted time-travel. Now that's all fine and dandy because such concepts can create branching possibilities and "unique" character development, but I could predict *everything* that was going to happen. Not even the kind of speculative "I wonder if..." predictions. More like "oh boy let me guess..." kind of predictions.

Or rather I could accurately predict everything up ...

In a somewhat unusual fashion I'm going to keep it "fairly short".

It's a decent enough anime that however it ends in a poor way. The closest comparison I can give to this is the anime adaption of "Deadman Wonderland". Characters were cut, the story was condensed but still managed to leave some of the overarching plotlines and intrigue, and more importantly they went ahead and did something that Deadman Wonderland didn't even do... they completely changed when and how the story ends. They basically cut maybe... 1/2 or more of the story and altered what remained so it ended when the anime did in ...
