That was quite an episode, mostly to see how much Souma has improved.

They used some flashbacks from the previous competition which makes kinda sense as Souma tries to improve his talent. Working at Shino's Tokyo must be a really special treat. I love how there's a certain degree of realism to such a working environment as well.

Really nice to see Koijirou back!

Yeah! This episode was perfect, cool seeing how fast Souma adapts to this workrate and style and improves his own mistakes. The flashbacks from the Shokugeki challenge gave me chills that scene was so epic!

Intense week for all the Totsuki students. Gotta give it to Soma, he doesn't dwell on failure or mistakes other than to use them as stepping stones for improvement. Truly, his is an indomitable cooking spirit. But how will his original plate wind up in(unfortunately) our final episode?

The "unseen" tense of that kitchen. It's totally different from Souma's usual diner place. And that "Cooking slang and terms", surely makes Spuma feeling hard to adapt.

Excellent episode, Loved it.

Pretty cool to see Souma working with Shinomiya and the workload is much higher than the typical diner so it isn't surprising even he had some trouble despite being used to heavy workloads.
I didn't really like Abel all that much, Always trying to demotivate Souma, So glad that Souma showed him up when he did all that prep work.

What Souma displayed in this episode is by far my most favorite trait of his, That relentless ability to move forward, Learn from his mistakes and improve himself all round no matter what anyone says. Souma's zeal really paints him as a really inspiring guy. Couldn't help but smile when everyone was surprised at how efficient he became.

Nice flashback, Was kinda sad to see Souma feeling dejected then but he's come a long way since then. :D It's nice to see that Shinomiya has a lot of faith and respect in Souma's abilities as a chef.

Wonder how this dish of his will turn out.

I'm really starting to like Shinomiya, it's the last episode of the season so Yukihira is certain to win the competition!
Can't wait to start reading the manga after next weeks ep.

That episode was EPIC very intense. Best episode of both seasons. The realism of a top notch kitchen was portrayed well. It was awesome to see Souma fail and adapt constantly to the point where he was contributing instead of hindering. I liked the additions to the new characters as well. I loved the fact that they inserted Souma as a prep worker, another amazing touch on realism. Cannot wait for next week to see how all his gained knowledge will be adapted into his diner cooking style.

Anyone knoes what chapters are we on right now? And how rushed this ep was?
But for a non-manga reader it felt a bit rushed after day1, they could've soend 2-3 ep on this, but otherwise it was fine.

Aww, only one more episode. This one was too good though. I can't wait to see what Souma is going to make next time, he keeps getting better and better. I wish we saw more of other students, but maybe it's in the manga? Lucie is really cute.

Way better than the adapted chapters tbh, the tension is handled better in this episode with the animation/soundtracks/VA, this arc was a pretty boring read in the manga, even more so weekly. I guess this is their way to redeem themselves from the rushed tournament.
They remade that iconic scene from season 1 with the upcoming competition instead of a Shokugeki challenge, this remade scene wasn't handled this way in the manga.
Lmao where did they send these 2? (this wasn't in the manga)

This episode adapted chapters 110 to 113, final one starts with 114 to I guess 116 or the first few pages of 117.
Didn't feel rushed to me, they skipped a few pages from 113 with some pretty known guests but they will probably include it in the final episode, it would've been boring if they did 3 episode with this episode's content.

Not surprising that Souma would be the one at Shinomiya's place. I like how they realistically portrayed his struggle to keep up with the super fast pace of working in a restaurant like this, but it was nice to see how he adapted over the course of several days. It was really cool how they remade the scene of Souma challenging Shinomiya to a Shokugeki, but of course this time he's talking about participating in the dish competition. I'm sure Souma has something great up his sleeve now that he has more hands-on experience, and he'll probably win since it's the final episode.

Loved how Souma handled criticism, he just puts his head down and focuses on not repeating his mistakes. Being out of his comfort zone of cooking in a diner/alone made him grow a lot, so hyped to see what his speciality will turn out to be.

They sped up the entire process for the Stagiaire, but it turned out surprisingly well.
Although I didn't like them skipping through the Autumn Elections all that much, but I'm liking where they're going to be ending this season.

Soma's stint at Shinomiya's soft-opening was exciting to watch, though not too much emphasis was placed on the food this time around (only for the scrumptious staff lunch). As mentioned before, where the rest of his class were failing left and right, it was great to see his progression from barely hanging on, to being adept enough to anticipate his crew's needs and act upon them. Learning situational awareness in a team setting which he had never truly been taught before will do him a world of good once he gets back to school.

There damn well better be a third season after this, because his progress and maturity after this is insanely fun to watch.

Great to see Shinomiya once again. Haha Abel a little jealous of Souma getting familiar with Shinomiya.
The intensity in the kitchen is high. No time for too many mistakes or else you are going to let everyone down.

Always love Souma's determination to keep moving forward & learn from his mistakes. Great to always ask questions.
Nice to see everyone else working hard during the Stagiaire.

Souma ready for the competition & working hard towards his specialty. Lets see what he comes up with to WOW Shinomiya.

One more episode to go. Hopefully we get a 3rd Season.

The pace it's too fast, but can't say I don't love this episode!

For me Stagiaire > autumn elections, dunno why. On the autumn arcs, I know that yukihira won't lose most of the time. While in the stagiaire the tense is so real, and he could be kicked if he can't keep up with the SHINO's

Terrific episode. One of the, if not the, best episode(s) of this season and it wasn't even featuring the much-anticipated Autumn Elections match-ups.

I love how we got to see a flashback from season 1 when Soma challenged Shinomiya to a shokugeki (aka the most badass moment of season 1) and how they recycled that scene for Soma's decision to enter the dish competition.
