"Majiriau Bokura" or "Intertwining Lives" is a beautiful yet bittersweet story about how intense feelings become when you love someone, how important trust is in order to maintain a relationship and the consequences of when feelings of love and friendship collide.

I must admit I started reading "Intertwining Lives" for the art style and the beautiful front page, but I was pleasantly surprised with the storyline. The plot is interesting, well-composed and the message come across well in just a few chapters. The characters are believable and natural and I took a strong liking to them as well.

When comparing this story to others in its genre, I found it more mature and realistic. While fluffy and sparkly feelings are all necessary in a love story, trust, guilt and jealousy are all natural feelings that are important as well. "Majiriau Bokura" certainly is a realistic and sweet story with some bitter topics but a happy ending and I can really recommend reading it.

So what made me drawn into this "Intertwining Lives" manga is obviously the nice detailed looking cover. I was expecting this is gonna be the usual clique Yaoi that I always bump into. Well apparently this series was pretty surprising enough because the first story revolved around liking someone, but also considering their feelings at the end of the day. The second story on the other hand, is about insecurities and pretty much facing career obstacles while you're in a relationship. I liked how both stories were different so i applaud the author for that.

However, The reason why I'm giving this a 5/10 score is the fact, the first story was rather too short. I also didn't like how some of the main characters in the second story threatened someone that they could rape them if they don't end their career. That was seriously messed up like I don't know why police aren't involved here tbh...
