And yes this is very subjective down to whether the MCs are actually queer or if it's just more queerbaiting.

Beautiful and heartfelt. It's not realistic in the sense that I think this happens to a lot of people, but it is realistic in the sense that gay people are also people who have interests and who grieve and who deal with all the same things straight people do (plus more). And the emotions are very real--or perhaps saying they feel sincere is more accurate? I'm not sure how to put it.

There are so many elements to this show, and they are interwoven so that there's always something interesting and dramatic going on even while characters are changing and relationships are shifting and other more subtle things are going on. The MCs aren't really dating, but their intense and almost instant connection is still a significant aspect of the show. They clearly have strong feelings toward each other, but there are a lot of complications keeping their relationship from progressing in a traditional manner (e.g. dating, having sex, making out, etc.).

This show has a lot of humorous or simply visually beautiful moments, but there are also subtle emotional journeys being conveyed for many of the characters. The progression of the MCs' courtship is mostly in hints and subtext, which is disappointing, but what is there is sweet and funny and touches my heart. Also so many hot men dancing on the ice sexily and beautifully!

Oota is often referred to as Tanaka's wife jokingly, but they really are super close friends and neither show interest in other people romantically. They could be asexual, they could just be close friends, but because I love this show and Oota & Tanaka's relationship brings me joy, I choose to read them as oblivious baby gays. More wholesome queer content!

So hard to talk about this without spoiling anything! Suffice to say, the relationships in this show are complex and very interesting.

Just dumb fun! If you are familiar with the tropes of the bl/yaoi genre, this show is sure to make you at least giggle. I will treasure this show forever and baffle my friends with bits and pieces of it whenever I'm feeling particularly mischievous.

Ah my emotions! This show is terrible for your heart (or at least mine). There is nothing explicitly queer, but there is a lot of subtext and super popular (and very queer) headcanons in the fandom. Watch for catharsis and/or with plenty of tissues on hand.

This show is all about opening your mind and learning/feeling empathy. To put it simply, it makes me feel pleasant feelings. Also the MCs are very cute together. :)

I haven't finished this yet, but it seems so far to be a wholesome romance anime. It's refreshing to have the MCs be clearly, nonsubtextually into each other without the anime feeling like it's solely for women to get off to.
