Just a heads up, this is my first review so just bear with me.

I have to admit, this movie was a massive tearjerker for me. I was raised by a single mother myself and seeing this film give me a small insight into the hardship she must have been through raising me. This film combines the everyday life of a single mother trying to make ends meet and still be a good parent with the supernatural element of werewolves adapting to human society almost flawlessly. That is not an easy thing to pull off, mind you, as a lot of films attempting to combine fantasy and the natural often turn into a mess (e.g. Twilight), but this film makes the wolf lore seem believable and their troubles realistic. If I have one complaint about the movie, it would have to be the beginning. The romance between Hana and the wolfman seemed cliche at first, but once they were actually living together I started really enjoying the movie. The music wasn't particularly memorable, but sounded nice and fitted the events that were happening. The voice acting was great and the actors put a lot of emotions into their characters.

Overall this movie is a great watch for anyone who likes the directors previous works (The girl who leapt through time, Summer wars...) or even if you don't, this film is still worth seeing for it's beautiful premise and presentation. Just a fair warning, you might cry. A lot.
