This review will be to the point as much as possible
Story: The story was very similar to Mirai Nikki's that there is a group of people that have to fight to the death. in Btooom!, each person involved in the "game" gets an initial 8 bombs or "BIMs" and tries to kill 7 other people in order to leave the game and go back to their normal lives. The story was overall very good, it just didn't explain enough to the "why did this happen?" factor

Art: The art was not fantastic for a newer anime because some of the explosions looked pretty bad. Also, on quite a few scenes, the characters' faces looked very awkward and poorly drawn.

Sound: The first Opening is very good and goes well with the show. The second Opening does not hit me as "Wow this is really good!" because most of the scenes in the opening are just from previous episodes. Also, the BGM's were placed in at the wrong times. At least that's what I felt. The music just didn't really match the situation the characters were in. The Ending was also slightly above average.

Character: For sure the weakest part of the show. I didn't feel sympathetic for ANY of the characters shown nor did I feel they were in the series long enough. My favorite character, Kira had maybe 15 minutes of screen time. A lot of the characters only appeared for 3 minutes and we never see them again.

Enjoyment: Despite being fairly mediocre, I really enjoyed this series. I found it easy to marathon and you never were really bored with any scenes. The action was very good and I was always at the edge of my seat to see what type of BIM was thrown next.

Overall thoughts: Btooom! is overall a good anime with some minor errors in each section, but nonetheless very entertaining. I would recommend this if you like Action shows, explosions, or you want to marathon a quick 12 episode anime.
