This review is based solely on the first episode. I got to the end of it and was like, “What… That’s all!?!?” This show reminds me of the many people I have met who can talk for hours and say absolutely nothing.
The episode consists of long, relatively nonsensical bits of exposition and an extended fight scene (really, it’s most of the episode). That’s it. What’s more, the fight is pretty boring.
Other people writing about this have said that the show is full of the usual anime crap. They’re right. I don’t mind the repetition if it’s fun, but this show is a complete waste of time. I skipped over the singing girl. I skipped most of the exposition at the end. I really didn’t find anything worth watching. (The girls with basketballs on their chests are not as garish as some people are saying, but that doesn’t really help.)
The main character seems a little different from the average anime pervert, so there is one tiny ray of hope for the series’ future. I’m not going to watch more just for that.
