The anime overall was amazing to watch. It's creative, more than average and it kept me excited to keep going into the next episode. If you're looking for a extremely happy story-than you may want to pick another anime. I only had wished that they made it longer and didn't squish everything into 22 episodes, would have been better if they spread it out and wouldn't have seem so clustered. It could have been longer to attach yourself better too it and explain somethings. The anime is enjoyable.

Plot: The mix of ideas combined together worked out well. It takes skill to put that many ideas into one and make it all work and fit together.I don't think most people understand what 'creative' is. Many people are obsessed with originality, and I can't watch anything that's not creative-but my point is every idea in the world is already used. Just because they used different ideas and made them into one does not mean it's not original. The story is original. It brings most of humanity's fear of a virus, of being trapped in a box to be killed. This is not an anime where you look into specific into certain things. All of us are afraid of the monster inside us, being trapped, losing someone to a virus. That's what the plot shows. There was a bit of mecha in there that wasn't too dominate in the series-and it's understandable to not make them something too crazy. They used the story of Adam and Eve. The story does make me think, and hold symbolism about Inori's sword. If connected to Christianity and the representation of the sword, you can tell. Of course, you actually have to pay attention and think about it the series, instead of bashing it back and forth like a know-it-all. It gives a lesson, humans are humans, they do wrong and good.

Characters: It had character development. Inori was still inori but she's grown to feel more and there's other examples as well. The characters were realistic. They seemed human with the flaws they were given. Now some may label some characters stereotype but first you have to think that most of us have these personalities in real life anyway. They made mistakes, and at some point the two main characters turned to be like a villain themselves. The main character wasn't just a hero. I wouldn't know if I would even call him that. As for Inori, whom people call boring, or sometimes they call the characters flat. Untrue. Look more into it and think what the characters are going through. I hardly see really flawed characters in other animes or ones that have true life. Normally characters are either incredibly weak, all about doing 'good' and such.

Art:
The art was amazing. I don't know what else to say about it. I loved the whole animation about it. Well-except that some of the outfits just felt unnecessary but that's in about 90 percent of anime, so it's not a bother and it doesn't even cross the line.

Enjoyment: I was miserable most of the time, but in a good way. I felt upset for the characters and the life they lived. Now, to fully enjoy this anime, you actually have to stick to it to an end. Don't make a judgement before finishing.

Overall: The series could have been longer. If it had been longer it would have shown character development better and people would be able to attach to themselves more. They should have given it more time to grow. There is some plot holes, but if it was longer it could have been fixed. It could have been better by not squishing it. It's a thought out anime, that could have explained more to people who didn't understand if it had been longer.
