DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE CUTE DRAWINGS AND THE SYNOPSIS!
It is very misleading because the central character is not even Rika.
This is not a mere slice of life type of manga and it is definitely NOT for the faint-hearted. In my country, this manga is literally tagged as "a story that kills all hopes and dreams" when you look it up in the search engine.

I do not plan to write a complete review at this time since the manga is still being published. I believe the final chapter comes out in the middle of May. I intend to finish the review after finishing this manga and carefully thinking over it for some time.
I was just angered by the synopsis written above and thought my review would save some innocent readers who would not have expected to be mentally devastated by this traumatic story.

"Kousha ... Tenshi" is about the sickening horrors of carefully organized Ijime (bullying) in an elementary school class that revolves around Ai, the white devil with an angel's mask. The manga is highly sophisticated, delving on topics such as herd mentality, thoughts behind bullying, and the matter of good and evil.
The plot is very intricate and absorbing, but it is also extremely disturbing. Not because of gore (although it does get quite graphic at times), but because of the chilling effect that creeps into the core of your bones that you get from reading about the children's inhuman faces and actions.

In sum, I want to say that the setting and the plot of this manga can be compared to that of Misu Misou, another disturbing manga with plenty of gore for a lifetime, but I want to first complete the series and see how the story ends.
