Story: The story for Bleach began well but as the story progressed it just became more and more ridiculous, in terms of actual story lines it became repetitive and boring. The main character Ichigo just becomes frustrating resulting in fans becoming annoyed at the way Kubo has constantly added irritating ways to "power up" their characters. I can’t really explain further without adding spoilers which I do not want to do though in my opinion the first season if still a great watch and a good anime to start watching if you are just coming into the anime genre.
Art: Bleach has aired for over 8 years so the art has changed over time dramatically. The first season of bleach is at a subpar level to today’s standard but was good at the time; the art during combat is average with backgrounds that have a sub-par detail.
Sound: I have not watched the Dubbed I did try to though getting turned away by each characters voices so my review here is based off the subbed entirely. The sound for Bleach is fine, most openings and endings are good and I did typically watch them every episode. The sound was probably the best part of Bleach and the voice actors where typically good, I did like Matsuoka, Yuki as Orihime as she was able to exhibit Orihimes childish side and serious side very well, though I did like her better in Elfen Lied.
Overall: Bleach is good at the beginning and slowly declines over time after the Arancarr arc. I think the story just shows that Kubo was out of ideas and having no idea’s how to continue with the story, resulting in pulling a random power out of nowhere which he continues to do for the entire show becoming less and less believable. Though I would again like to say the first season is still a good watch with kubo showing his potential at writing with genuine surprises that was fun and exciting to watch.
