Aladdin, the Magi, learns about himself, the world, and how magic affects everyone. His destiny is intertwined with Alibaba and they plan to go on amazing adventures.

This series involves magic and historical legends from Arabia. The setting does not correspond with our world because some of the characters existed in different time periods.

The story starts with introductions and makes us believes it’s more of an adventure anime. But as the series progresses, the plot involves more of the characters’ history and how their past affects their beliefs and decisions.

Art and animation does not seem serious and is even childlike at times. By childlike, I meant that they will draw the characters as silly shapes. But then there are also violent scenes such as stabbings. This doesn’t seem to fit well with the art direction.

Each story arc receives more and more characters. It’s hard to follow who they are and why they are fighting or helping our protagonists. I guess the reason for so many spontaneous characters is to give a feeling of large adventures and battles, but that makes it difficult to follow the intimacy of their fights.
