Shinsekai Yori Reveiw:

Story: Shinsekai Yori has one of the best plot lines I have watched so far. This story, from the very beginning, hints that there is something not right with the world around them like the rumors of the monster cats and the disappearing children as mentioned in the synopsis. From this point on the five main characters proceed to slowly find out about the darker side that plagues their town. This story will have you watching the next episode as soon at the first ends. Just a warning though, this is a very dark anime and It may make you sad at times.
I gave the story a 10.

Sound: The sound was good, I guess. Most of the time you will be too engrossed in the story to even notice that there is actually music in the background. As for the opening and closing songs, well how do I put this, there was no opening song and just goes straight into the anime. I am definitely not complaining though since this gave more time to the story and a couple of cut scenes that show what happen in the past. The ending song, I didn't really listen to because I was already to the next episode, but from what I heard of the first few seconds of it, It was most likely pretty good.
I gave the sound an 8

Art: The art of Shinsekai Yori is in one work amazing. The scenery of the Japan of the future can only be described as a rural country with all the beauty that comes from nature, these scenes usually happen when the story takes a break an gives the viewer a moment to catch their breath. Other than that the artwork is fitting with the story, dark. One other mention on the artwork would be the eyes of the characters in the story, while there is not much detail in the facial expressions of the characters, the eyes do a great job of showing the emotions of the characters.
I gave the Art a 9

Characters: The characters are the best part of Shinsekai Yori. You get to see how the characters develop during the course of this story, how they interact with each other, and the decisions that they make along the way. Not only that but every decision that they make is something the the viewer can understand because who doesn't have a burning sense of curiosity, well besides that dead cat over there. The actors also did a great job of getting the emotions of all the characters spot on and this made this show even more incredible. Its hard to describe the characters besides saying that the main characters are a great match and that you have to watch this show to understand how great they are.
I gave the Characters a 10

Enjoyment: Well in my opinion if the characters and the story line are amazing I will pretty much love the show. Shinsekai Yori had both of these and the other aspects of this anime is great as well. I would have watched this anime in one day if I did not have other things I had to do, that alone says that I enjoyed this anime quite a bit.
I gave the Enjoyment a 10

Overall: Lets start with the score this time, I gave Shinsekai Yori a 10 overall. The story and the characters have a lot of pull with me when it comes to watching an anime and when a story has these aspects I can overlook other fault that an anime has, amazingly this anime didn't have many faults to begin with and I enjoyed this anime immensely. I must say that this is a dark anime and the characters have to make tough decisions along the way, and in some places this anime becomes depressing. This is not an anime for children.
