I love this show so much. I can’t even begin to express in words how much I love it. It has magic and Shakespeare references and great animation and wonderful characters and I just can’t stop gushing about it. I don’t know how closely it follows the manga, but I will definitely be checking it out, but even if it’s completely different, it didn’t seem like two completely different story lines being mashed together (as many anime that deviate from their manga counterparts tend to feel after a certain point). I guess the best way to describe the genre is sci-fi/fantasy with some romance and mystery.

Plus, the ending wasn’t so vague that it leaves you hoping for more while at the same time being somewhat open-ended in the sense that they say “the end is only the beginning.” I felt it was executed really well.

The first opening theme, “Spirit Inspiration” by Nothing’s Carved In Stone was really good, and I also loved the second opening, “大好きなのに” (Daisuki na no ni) by Kylee. My favorite characters are all of them, but if I have to choose, Mahiro, Yoshino, Hakaze, and Aika top the list.
