This is my first review so please try to take it easy on me! Alright, so I had the pleasure of watching Durarara on my time off, and I must say that it was awesome to watch.

Story: 9

I gave the overall story a 9, but in all honesty I would give it an 8.5 (I'm feeling generous so that's why I gave it a 9). The concept was awesome, and I loved all the characters connected to each other through every episode. My only problem was that the ending seemed a little anti-climatic for my tastes (this is just personal preference though). After all that talk from Izaya about causing a war, it didn't really turn into a one when it all played out

Art: 9

I believe Brains Base were the studio that provided the artwork? Correct me if I was wrong, but anyways I liked this style of animation. It felt like something I had seen over and over again in the animes I've watched, but at the same time it had some different elements brought out. That's all I have to say about it.

Sound: 8.5

Nothing too captivating, and that's what I look for when considering the sounds. There were a couple that did get my attention, if only for a brief period of time. The Sought-After Extraordinary, Ikebukuro West Exit Five-Way Intersection, and the intros/outros were alright as well. If you're wondering why those songs out of all of them, it's simply because I like catchy tunes :)

Characters: 10

I don't want to get into too much detail, but lets just say that I found each characters life to be awesome, and I like how some of them developed. I did not, however, like SEIJI(?). Everything he said pissed me off. But back to what I was saying. Some characters experienced changes that I thought couldn't have been better given the situation they were in. Others also stayed the same, which was totally fine with me because some needed to be that way to some degree!

Enjoyment: 10

Like I was saying, Durarara was awesome to watch. It had just the right amount of action and suspense, all while it was being sprinkled with deep emotional things/drama. It wasn't just your average "male hero saves the day and does the right thing" kind of anime, because in my eyes the spotlight was being shared by a few of the characters, not just one. OH, and I also loved all the references they had for Baccano! and Toradora. That was pretty cool

So overall, I give Durarara a 9.5 in my heart, but it gets a 9 on MyAnimeList from me. It just didn't quite give me that feeling I get when I finish a good anime. Now I'm not saying that Durarara was bad because you can obviously tell from my review that I liked it, but I just can't give it a 10. And that is my review on Durarara
