The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya was nothing short of a masterpiece. I never once got bored watching this movie and it completely redeems itself after the horrendous "Endless Eight" arc of the original anime series.

One would expect this to be primarily fixated on Haruhi Suzumiya and her disappearance but it is much more than that. This movie focused on Kyon and his despair but what it was really trying to tell us was the story of Yuki Nagato. Her character development was brilliant and emotive. I won't spoil anything.

The plot was simply splendid. It was nothing like the anime series and tells a much more serious and emotive story. The length of this movie is nearly 3 hours long but works very well and had not once a mundane moment. There are scenes that only people who'd watched the original anime series would understand so it would be best to watch the anime series before watching this film.

Art - Wow. Brilliant animations. 10/10.

Sound - The OST's and BGM really set the mood. 9/10.

Character - Other sides of the characters are revealed and there are really emotive developments. 10/10.

Enjoyment - Never got bored. Can watch over and over again and is my favourite anime movie. 10/10

Overall - 10/10.
