2008 Anime by Manglobe
Directional Debut of Sayo Yamamoto
Review from my POV (w/personal biases)
Spoiler-ish
Pros:
+ Finally, an Anime with a South American setting!! it even has that City of God vibe to it (From the dark moments and hard truths to even some of the humor) ^__^
+ Who doesnt like that catchy opening? :P
+ Hatchin is very likable and to see her grow throughout the show is very appealing.
+ The interaction between characters is involving and almost every character gets their shining moment.
+ NOW THAT IS HOW YOU WRITE AN ANTAGONIST!!!! Badass Satoshi is Badass.
Cons:
- Some transitions between episodes can be a bit rough. Sometimes you're you're just thrown into a new situation with M2H and other times you wonder how they got from point B of the last episode to Point A of the next.
- The last episode seems to make the main protagonists' goal not worth it, considering what hey had to go through throughout the series.
- Hiroshi Morenos, not cool dude.
Final Note:
I recommend this to anyone looking for something out of the ordinary with similar enjoyment of other shows and movies ( Champloo/ Bebop/ City of God).
