Let it be known that it's been some time since I've seen this anime, so sorry if I'm not completely accurate in this review.

I'm sure that all of us remember what it's like to be in high school. For me, one of the most difficult things in school was liking someone. For Itou, that's what he's going through right now. He likes a girl, so his friend decides to help him out and get him a date with the girl of his dreams. A few episodes later, they're boyfriend and girlfriend! Yay, happy story so far, right? That's when things change and take a turn for the worse. For those of you reading this, let it be told that this anime is full of depressing scenes, and a whole lot of heartbreak and cheating.

For a story, it had an interesting plot. It started out normally for a romance anime, boy likes girl and such. Then stuff happens and his relationship changes when he gets told some stuff by some certain people and more stuff happens, and eventually it ends up with him cheating on a bunch of people. Now, you may not know this, but in my opinion, cheating on someone is considered the ultimate sin in my book. It makes me sick, so I had trouble watching this particular anime, but once I got through it, the story was one of the main reasons I was able to, I wanted to know what happened next.

The artwork in School Days was slightly depressing, it just seemed moody, dark, and sad. Appropriate for the feel of the show and the story. Aside from the feel of the lighting, the character art was something to brag about. I liked the way the characters in the show looked and I was able to tell them apart easily.

Character-wise... I gotta give it a fairly low score. Even though the character art was really nice, that doesn't mean I liked all the characters. Like I said before, I hate cheaters, and this anime was full of them. Out of all the characters I saw, Kotonoha was the only one that I didn't even slightly hate. Itou, Sekai, Otome, and pretty much every other character in the show, I got a bone to pick with them. However, I was somewhat satisfied with how the show ended for most of them.

I can't say I enjoyed the anime a whole lot. All the good people of the world would say the same thing, cause it's never fun to get cheated on. However, the story was the main reason I stayed, cause I wanted to know what happened to the characters, no matter how disturbing the ending might be, and I'm sure you've heard this from other people that have seen School Days, but the ending might disturb you. I won't give you any details, but just be prepared for the worse. Overall, I give it a 7.
