Story: The story picks up slightly differently than before. In Bakemonogatari the main cycle of the story is about Koyomi Araragi helping out random people he encounters and they are in need of getting rid of apparitions(deities, ghosts, etc). But now it's different. Koyomi is helping out his sisters instead to whom they also have issues of apparitions. We also meet two antagonists along the way; Deshu Kaiki and Yozuru Kagenui. What makes the plot more troublesome is that Koyomi cannot have assistance from Oshino(the expert of apparitions) anymore because Oshino has already left the city. Koyomi is now faced with the issue of saving his sisters head on by himself.
Art: The Animation is quite beautiful and amazing. This Anime is a perfect example of what some studios need to take notice of. Studio Shaft did an excellent job at creating this artwork of an Anime.
Sound: I've really never noticed anything significant about the sound. I do however enjoyed the opening and ending songs that appeared in this Anime and I do love the fact that this Anime has different openings and endings so you'll never know what to expect. Overall the sound was good.
Characters: The main character Koyomi Araragi really just a very cliche character however that is not a bad thing. In fact those type of characters really fit quite well with Anime's like this and shows us that caring for family and friends is the most important part of life and we should always lend a helping hand. Many female characters(and yes you will encounter a lot of them) are always attracted to Koyomi. Even his sisters. Don't get me wrong, this Anime isn't about incest but more of the lines of strong love in family. Koyomi's sisters(known as the Fire Sisters) are quite the characters indeed. Karen the middle child is one of my favorite characters in this series mainly because of her athletic ability in fighting and she is very hot tempered sometimes. Tsukihi the youngest is the more delicate type. She is very graceful and acts quite lady-like compared to Karen. Now let's discuss about the two so called antagonist in this Anime. The first antagonist we meet is a con-artist named Deishu Kaiki. Kaiki pretends to be an expert of apparitions and cons people(preferably little kids). Yozuru Kagenui is our second antagonist who has issues with one of Koyomi's sisters and would stop at nothing to do what she calls "the right thing".
Enjoyment & Overall: I really enjoyed this Anime far too much. I loved every single bit of what the Anime had to offer like the toothbrush scene(which was very random) and it got me hooked on the Monogatari series from here on out. I would strongly recommend this Anime to anyone. Yes this Anime has fan service but if you can look pass on that this is truly one heck of an Anime.
