I liked this anime after having watched half of episodes. Before that I had thought it was usual anime for girls like Vampire Knight, because there was a really handsome and pretty butler Sebastian as one of the main characters, always behaving and going around Ciel, a 12 year old boy from noble family. It turn out to be not so naive anime with a nice plot and history background. What I didn't like were the things not related to the story at all, and some aspects of the story and motives weren't explained. I will not mention them here, because I don't want to spoil anything. And I also wanted to see Sebastian's real form, but then I got along because he is a hell of a butler after all. What I liked about anime is that the story is quite complete as for the form. There is a clear beginning and it ends where it's supposed to. Many stories just begin and end with no reason, which is always annoying. It's true that this anime does not solve some questions it brings, but overall conclusion is that the story is complete, like a full circle. Sebastian is a demon after all, and it was only natural for him to get what he wanted in the first place. But that could be a material for a twist, I think. Because, everyone expected this ending, so why couldn't it be made more interesting? Anyway, it's up to a writer do define those things. I also liked how the roles were switched. Ciel is just a child, but with strong personality, sometimes helpless but he was still pretentious and knew his purpose and aim, which cannot be said for 12 years old children. Sebastian is a demon, but he has a good taste and manners, he is presented in "good" light opposed to an angel, who has wrong means for heavenly purpose, weird don't you think?

So, that's my opinion on this anime. I'd recommend watching it, it's fun and interesting story.
