Story: 9/10: Pacing plagues these shows for some reason. Because they make you ponder. Thus they sometimes leave your bored. Yet, Mawaru Penguindrum overall is excellent in the story category. With so many twists and turns its hard to keep track of whats going on. Yet, in the end everything comes together, and nothing was what it seemed.
Art: 9/10: amazing in its own right. odd art style like Madoka or Lian, but suffers from repeating images and scenes.(probably didnt have much more money idk)
Sound: 9/10 Every song sounds like a fresh winter breeze. The op's are great, the ed's just as good too. But, ost's are a true shinning point. They are amazing. Yet, also the weak spot, as it repeats a few really amazing songs over and over.
Characters: 9/10 Probably its strongest point. No spoilers, but let me say that none of the main characters are how they seem or who they seem. Yet, some supporting people were not dynamic. an thus a 9/10.
Enjoyment: 10/10 (opinions vary on taste. This is my personal enjoyment)
Its is an amazing show if you give your undivided attention. It is hard to understand, and rightly so. Remember it will not explain the end unlike steins gate or Madoka. You the watcher need to decode this show to see what truly happened. I enjoyed trying to figure out what went on, and when it all clicked in the end for me i felt truly inspired.
