The story is a game. It is a battle of two great minds. Light, the criminal and L, a very well known detective. Light gets his hands on a Shinigami's death book and whoever's name is written in the book dies. L wants to find the identity of the person who is behind this all, i.e. Light. But Light is much smarter than this and catching him is not easy. It's a story that will definitely keep you entertained as you can never predict what Light's and L's next move shall be.
