In H and C, the talks are not just random mumble jumble between characters.. It served as a bridge connecting the characters and provided an emotional atmosphere that pervades and certainly is the hallmark of this anime.
The characters are certainly memorable.. with their own quirks which I found cute and some troubling. Each has his/her own uniqueness stamped and is edible throughout the show.
One thing that always comes to mind when I think of Honey and Clover is the conversation between Mayama and Yamada. Mayama was taking Ayu home and she was quite drunk.. she then said..
“Mayama…suki….daisuki….Mayama!!!..suki!….Daisuki!!!…Mayama! Suki!…(Okay)… Daisuki!…(Arigato)”
Bitter-sweet. It was certainly bitter-sweet.
