One of the things people always say is the pop culture references in this show are great. I watched a fair bit and found that they weren't good references. They just were like flop one liners that only amateur comedians might enjoy. I remember there was like 6 minute bit about how they eat a chocolate pastry from top or bottom, it literally had no punch line it was like a low energy disagreement that just ended eventually.
There is no story to lucky star, its just people talking for a lot of episodes.
Sound and Animation is just alright, nothing is wrong with it in any real respect. I mean the characters are meant to look simple and kinda be cute and the sound i just sound. The opening theme is surprisingly cute but its high energy leads you into a really boring let down of a episode.
I didn't enjoy lucky star, it felt like it was trying to mimic a sitcom but it just felt flat. I didn't laugh at any jokes and nothing happened that was in anyway interesting. The characters are boring and 1 dimensional. This shows just bad for a general audience. If you wanna know for sure watch 1 half a episode cause that's all it takes to know if you get the inside joke that is lucky star.
