Well... There's nothing to say about this anime that hasn't been said before, it's a renown anime because of the "unexpected" ending (Of course the great part of the viewers watch it because of that, even when it the end it result in being not so unexpected and instead was desired, or at least it was for me), it's a great story, with no doubts, in fact it's a true story (not all of course) 'cause we all have been witness or players in that game called "love" in that playground called "puberty", so we know how the story goes: laughs, tears, truths and cheats etc.
You read the synopsis a guy in a crush that suddenly get two beutiful girls in his hand instead of one, there's where the real plot starts, the curtain rises and a psychological drama appears, completely unexpected and too interesting i should say.

STORY: 9
The story is one of the more interesting, complex and "real" i've seen, some of you may think it's a romantic anime, i can asure you it's nothing like that... Well love is a very common topic in animes, it's a "seller", but what happens when instead of making a sissy common predictable anime, you make a well developed plot with complex characters and you exaggerate it a bit? well then you get an unforgettable great seinen story, "School Days" will definitely mark you for the rest of your life, it shows the true human essence in a fatalist but not so wrong way, all the characters and the story dance to the beat of the "basic instincts (if you didn't get the idea "sex")" so if you expected the usual "innocent good guy" (as i do) get yourself prepare for the opposite, it remind me a bit "The Monk" from Mathew G Lewis, A good guy who fells in temptation and succumbs into depravity (maybe i exaggerate but the story goes like that).

ART: 7
The art does'nt has a real important part to play in the anime, the dialogues carry all the plot, it's good, not great, well designed characters, scenaries, well use of the light-dark stuff, but i've got to say that the end was really graphic and awesome.

SOUND: 7
To be honest i didn't pay much attention to the sound, but i supose it was fine because it didn't distract me and immerse me more into the plot, about the Op and the End: they are good distractors, too sissy for the raw story.

CHARACTER: 8
Ok... Al the story relies on the three protagonic characters. Makoto (Scumbag Guy), Kotonoha (Yandere with a perfect life) and Sekai ("Good girl" with a sad past), the girls get all the attention obviously, very complex and myterious people, but i think it should have been a larger anime to explain and develop entirely the personality and psycological aspects of each one, 'cause honestly i can't have an entire idea of makoto's personality, he's despicable (my point of view) but i never determine if he already was or if he was made, and the same with other characters. So i honestly get disappointed with the poor development of that extremely intriguing characters.

OVERALL: 9
Unusual story, Complex plot, complex characters and a great end, Oh Yeah! It's a "Must See", One of the most controversial, somehow wierd and raw stories i've seen, i don't doubt about the greatness of this anime in terms of psycological dramas. Unfortunatelly it's not for everyone, as i said it's too crude and vulgar in some ways, i asure you that in the end you'll hate to death one of the characters, so unless you like really serious stuff, you're not going to be completely pleased with the anime. About the enjoyment, i really enjoyed it but i get disapointed with the development of the characters' personality and the great unexpected ending result in a necessary one... So i give it a 7, It could have been better.
It's based in a game so if you wanna get more into the whole story i recommend you to try it (i haven't, so i can't tell you if it's good or bad, but i guess it's more complete due to the great number of alternative endings of the game in youtube).
