The story starts out with a non-social high school guy who one day goes to his usual "hideout" during lunch to avoid socializing, and to his surprise a high school singer is there hiding from the government because she is on a mission working with a PMC (Private Military Company) called Funeral Parlor. The main character Shu eventually tries to help her and ends up receiving this power and later on joins Funeral Parlor.
Long story cut short, the story my start out as a cliche but it gets better as it goes on.
The art was very good, there were no problems with it at all. Every character and background were drawn very well. The fighting animation was also very good, there were no flaws.
The sound in this anime was amazing. The opening theme was very good and the ending theme was amazing. Inori's voice actor's singing is just amazing, and probably one of the best singers I've ever heard.
The characters in Guilty Crown were also very good. I really liked how the main characters weren't cliched and that they had their own emotions and traits, like Inori for an example. Even though the watchers knew that Inori and Shu would have feelings for each other it was developed naturally. Every character in here had their own unique personality.
Overall I really did enjoy this show. Many people disliked it and many people loved it, but I really do recommend this to anyone who is curious about it.
