The story takes place during medieval times, when a merchant is traveling and comes across a girl who happens to be a wolf. The story isn't really too interesting, and as a matter of fact there really isn't any story, the show is about they're journey to the wolf's hometown.
The art was alright, nothing to complain about nor praise about, but the sound received a 9 because of Holo's voice actor. Her voice actor is simply amazing and one of my favorites, she fits Holo just perfectly.
The characters were likable and they shared an interesting relationship.
Overall this anime wasn't bad, and I can see many people have really enjoyed it. To me, Spice and Wolf was nothing more than an Economics class, and I feel it really did focus on money which is why I didn't enjoy it too much, but I am considering watching the second season. Pretty much anyone who's looking to watch an anime to waste time should try this.
