I think Hyouka is one of the greatest series of 2012, because it takes mystery to another level; it doesn't portray any cliche, like murders, police cases, etc.; it takes things to the everyday's life, and it may even be possible in our real lives.
In the beginning and in the middle of the series, there are arcs with mysteries that are solved in a brilliant way of thinking. In the end, there are some psychological aspects of each character, in a way I've seen in few animes.
So, the rating is:
Story - 9: The story in Hyouka is very simple, but that's why it's terrific. The simplicity of the story makes it seem possible in real life, which is very good for those who are watching the series.
Art -10: The art in Hyouka is amazing, both the overall art and the mystery's solution scenes. That is what you expect from Kyoto Animation.
Sound -10: The sound in Hyouka really fits the atmosphere. It makes you want to find out the truth behind the case.
Character -9: The characters are really unique and peculiar. Each main character has a great personality.
Enjoyment -10: The enjoyment in Hyouka is the highest: everything is good about this series.
Hyouka is really worth your time if you like simple stories and if you are tired of chiched slices of life.
