Story- As stated before this anime has a somewhat unique/ different way if writing. In some animes there are multiple couples, but the anime focuses on one couple. Which is fine, but i was wanting to try something different for a change.This anime does focus on one specific couple which you'll know from episode one, but you also get involved with other couple, some aren't necessarily couple its more like a giant love triangle that actually gets solved and mostly everyone is happy in the end. You actually find out what happens to the sub characters and you find out about their love life and what happens to them. Kaito is the main character of Ano Natsu de Matteru which is apparent right at the beginning. The way this anime opens is just awesome, you can tell almost right away that this is going to be an awesome anime. Along with a strong opening every episode leaves you wanting more. The characters, more than just kaito dont wait around they actually take chances. If they like someone then they actually go after them, and not on the last episode of the anime like some do. Its a refreshing anime in a sense that its story development is different from what im use to watching and to my knowledge there isn't another anime out there wrote like this one. It also has an incredibly strong ending, and if you stick around past the credits there's a small 10-15 second clip that makes you really wonder if there's going to be a second season. It still puzzles me to this day.
Art- This anime finished airing this year so its fairly new, so as expected this art is going to have the new anime fell to it, really crisp and just great looking. There is some unique designs which i can't really say for fear of ruining the storyline, but it has decent art with some unique designs.
Sound- This anime has a really strong intro which for some reason i just really like and i think it fits the anime perfectly.
Character- The main character is kaito, he reminds me alot of myself in the fact that he's kind of shy, the nerdy kid that has a few friends, isn't really popular or nothing and has a hobby that he really enjoys. The other main characters are ichika who is a girl ( don't want to ruin who she is so i cant say too much, but shes really important to the story-line) lets just say that she's not what you would expect. Tetsurou who is pretty much kaito's best friend, he's very considerate and just a really nice and fun loving guy, who can be a bit on the dense side like kaito. Then you got mio and kanna who are also kaitos friends, thery're pretty much all of kaitos friends and the main charatcers of the anime.
Enjoyment- Every single episode had something "intense" about it. Intense as in it was extremely funny, emotional or just any kind of extreme emotion. There are the episodes that have you on edge really paying attention, some will make you cry, and others will make you laugh until your sides hurt. I really enjoyed this anime with its compelling characters and story-line.
Overall- Overall this anime was really good, unique characters, excellent writing, extremely attention grabbing storyline. This was plain and simply a really awesome anime. Its one that i will definitely have on my mind when talking to people about anime. If you enjoy romantic comedies then this is definitely an anime you should look into.
