This is an anime unlike any other that masterfully blends great action scenes, a compelling story that nearly brought many people i know as well as myself to tears, and great comedy (without nudity).
Story: at first you may think that the story here is generic and just a way for the company to get some more money by throwing out an anime. i however find that to COMPLETELY INACCURATE. the story here is incredible i love the idea of the school being purgatory (symbolism anyone?) and that the kids must fight to not be erased. i also love how the story plays out, for a 13 episode anime it truly has a lot to tell.
Art: the art in this anime is some of the best I've seen! one of the Strong points in Angel Beats! and certainly not to overlooked. the animation is incredible and makes Angel Beats! a beautiful work of art.
Sound: top notch! i really enjoyed the sound in Angel Beats! and loved how well it was done. the soundtrack is also incredible! i love the opening song and theme behind it (Theme should prob be in art but oh well).
Character: another of Angel Beats! true strong points is the characters. they are completely unforgettable and really bring Angel Beats! together. the supporting cast is done so well that i found myself becoming just as attached to them as i did the lead cast. again truly amazing lead and support cast and i can't say enough about how touching and well done they were
so overall i highly recommend that you at least give this anime Angel Beats! a try it is currently the best anime i have seen and i know there are many who would agree. also i believe this anime to be a touching story behind the relationships between people and how one person can make a difference.
