The Nhk is a rare piece of anime and when i say rare i mean deep. This is something you watch and then think about your life over.

The concept of this show is mostly moving forward and finding what you want to do with your life. It does this by taking a character who has literally done nothing with his life. He is a N.E.E.T (not in education, employment or training) as well as a hikikomorii or shut in as the English say. The show explores his inability to cope with his own personal failings and failings by inventing a organization that has set him up to be a loser for nefarious purposes. So he is completely lost in life which has caused him great delusions and then suddenly a girl appears taking great interest in his life. Shocked by the fact anyone would want to socialize with him alone he suspects her of being out to get him with this social education program she offers.

Watching this character cope to make some sense of his existence and find his way in life creates this relate able quality in most people. Growing up we all have those questions of where and what we wanna do and some of us are still lost even trying to figure out what makes our existence worth living. This character personifies unknowing and shows us how extreme it can be for some people to push themselves to even get out the door and challenge life itself. at this point we all wish for a savior to come and show us the way but at the same time debate weather or not we can trust someone to direct or show us how to live. We all wanna give up responsibility for the big decisions but we cant trust anyone to give us happiness that we ourselves did not find.

This show shows us the irony of life and the struggle we all have to find meaning. I recommend you watch this if you have ever felt like your life is lacking or even if you just aren't sure what you wanna do when your done with school. It may grant you some perspective on your own life threw these all to relate able characters.

This anime is more than worth the watch just for the subject matter cause it leaves you thinking about yourself in the end. The show is also fairly hilarious when its not being all to serious, touching on subjects like suicide, depression, break ups and a myriad of other social issues we can all face at times.
