I've been wanting to read this novel for awhile now. But I'm really having a hard time in finding a copy (only in the net though). I thought it was almost impossible but I'm so happy that I was able to read this and Cold Light. Though I haven't read Cold Fever cause I can't find any. T^T

Anyway here's my review about it.

Story: 9/10

The Cold Series has a total of 3 Volumes. Cold Sleep, Cold Light and Cold Fever. so I'll start with Cold Sleep since this was the first installment.

When you read the synopsis at first, you will think it's some cliched drama story about a guy who lost his memory and so on. Because that's what I thought at first.

But somehow after reading it, it's different from what I had imagined. It's really nice. I can't stop myself from reading it.

It's about a guy (Tohru) who lost his memory in a car accident and an older man (Fujishima) claiming to be his "friend" knows him and decided to take him as a roommate to his apartment.

Even though Fujishima is claiming to be his friend, he wouldn't tell Tohru anything about his past. None at all. So this made Tohru suspicious a little. But as time passed by, the two grew close together. Even to the point of Tohru falling in love with Fujishima. But what is Fujishima hiding about Tohru's past?

See? Interesting right?

While reading this, I really can't help but to read it so fast that I almost regretted it cause I didn't want it to end (though of course I didn't skip any scenes) but I really wanted to know about Tohru's past. Even Fujishima's. Though I learned about it in Cold Light (the second installment).

Art: 9/10

The art is.. really.. how do I describe it.. it was sweetly drawn and I love how each illustration conveyed the scenes naturally in the novel. I really loved the art!

Characters: 9/10

At first I was confused who is Takahisa Tohru and Fujishima Keishi. I thought Tohru was the one in the suit and tie based on the cover. I assumed Tohru was the "uke". I was wrong. XD

To simplify things, Tohru is the young raven-haired guy (the seme) while Fujishima is the older man in suit (the uke). Honestly I really prefer younger ukes and older semes though there are some exemptions. But this couple really became one of my fave pairings. Especially Tohru. I adored him. Well since this book was in his point of view that's why I was able to know him better than Fujishima. Fujishima is the silent/expressionless type of guy. But surprisingly he has a sweet tooth.

Enjoyment: 10/10

I really enjoyed it to the point I've read this book for like 4 hours straight or so only. And I want more! Good thing there's a continuation.

Overall: 9/10

It was really good. I recommend it to people who likes light stories (nothing complicated) with a taste of drama and bittersweet romance on it.
