Mixed Feelings
All ratings are ten and the overall is six. How did that come?

First I`ll give you a counclusion: if you watch anime prior to visual novel - it is great and deserves 10. If you`ve played Tsukihime VN or just happened to have an eye into Arcueid True Ending - my condolences, score 2 and go play Kagetsu Tohya. Overall is 6... rather fair, isn`t it?

Now let me explain the meaning of that.

When I picked Tsukihime to watch three years ago, I did that... randomly. There were no recommendations, I knew nothing about Type-Moon and have never heard about visual novels. It was just on a whim: I simply liked the name.

Next night I was completely drown into the serial and let me tell you: I`ve been crying like a beaten baby till morning. I could have never imagined any kind of art to touch me like that. I could not stop and all I wanted is to... wait, I do not want to tell you alternative ending. It was like I`ve drown into some world, where all my problems, exams, tests, pains did not matter anymore. I didn`t knew HOW could those people creat it - a beautiful blonde vampire who stole my (and not only miine) heart, an universe where death exists in every single thing and someone bearing the unbearable knowledge and ability (don`t mistake it for other stupid Magic placed into every second anime).

For the next two days I could hardly do my daily duties.

I don`t know why I was so touched. Of course anime ends in a very pathetically and touching way, but there are plenty of them anyway. Maybe Arcueid? Everyone has his own goddess - and mine happened to be this one. Dirty sister-involved fantasies of mine? Oh, that`s not Koi Kaze. Plot? Of course the plot is good.

It is just that great. Without explanation or reason it is great. Or it WAS great, I should say. Because I happened to play visual novel later.

I can tell you many differences between Arcueid True Endings in VN and anime. I can tell you what is good and what is complete shit... but do it yourself, it will be funnier. I only don`t want to forgive that punk Arihiko became in the serial. And Hisui together with Kohaku. And party in the amusement park. And other endings, lost and forgotten. And... well, just go and play, it really worth your time. I hope there will never be anything destroying my current image of Tsukihime... visual novel at the moment.

P.S. And nevertheless - how fascinating great it was that night.
