A lot of the negativity towards this season is mostly directed towards Endless Eight. I appear the only person who actually enjoyed the arc due to its emotional weight. Kyon was driven to insanity with how many times the world was repeating itself, thanks to Haruhi's yearning to keep reliving the summer. We feel that irritation, that insanity. We want to move on, as viewers, and we can connect that properly to Kyon. That's why I enjoy this season so much, was simply for Endless Eight. I can't exactly say the palette cleanser that was the Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya was awful, but it wasn't nearly as commendable as Endless Eight.
