I'll be honest, I wanted to watch this because I heard good things about it but I kinda ended up disappointed because the MC didn't engage with the "harem" that he has. But I get why the author wants to make him like that though, the "harem" that the dude has were literally heroines who didn't get the love of their life, they shouldn't go into a new love target right away. Therefore, the MC, Nukumizu, is a perfect role for the side character, or, as he proclaims, NPC.
Story/plot. Again, I thought this was going to be another one of those harem shows where the girls are in love with the MC of the show but they are not really into him. They saw Nukumizu just as a friend that they used as a confiding place or venting of their love life. Kind of reminded me back in high school. I can relate to that because of how realistic that felt. I got those kinds of people every time when I was in high school and I don't really have a solid idea why. The reason that I can come up with, is that I'm a neutral person, I don't have a lot of friends and I don't get into trouble that much. It felt like I was a perfect person to be this "love guru' where people vent about their love life trouble and I give them barebone advice for free. Which again, I can relate to my guy, Nukumizu.
Character. I feel like, the only person that really grows up a lot is Komari. Our protagonist has a little growth but man, Komari was popping off in her arc. I'm very glad that she became who she is at the end of her arc.
Also, I'm not saying the one that grows is Komari only, but others as well, just not that significant.
OST. As more and more anime I've watched, the type of anime that gets these variations for ending songs is a lot more than I thought. This is one of them. I love the OP don't get me wrong but man, the EDs are taking the wins here. Insane visuals and the song are just divine. Absolutely gorgeous. As for the OST on the anime itself... well I don't think I need to specify it, I just gonna give 2 thumbs up.
VA. You know what I'm just going to skip this one because they all did fantastic.
Overall, I give this 9.6/10. I'll probably continue the story by reading the LN though just because it's a fantastic story and I can relate so much with the MC.
