As much as I want to promote this anime because of their dedication as I said in the "pilot" episode, I might want you guys to watch this with low expectations. Trust me because you would definitely be highly disappointed.
Let's start this review with animation. I am in love it with. Not only did it feel nostalgic it also didn't use 3D, at all. It is those classic cartoons, anime, or animation TV shows back in 2011. I can't praise enough how much I love this animation quality. Again, they should be proud of their achievement, they got a new fan. Although the animation is
...
top-tier, unfortunately, it doesn't carry all aspects of the anime.
Another good thing about this anime is, the VA. I can hear their enthusiasm while playing their roles, especially, Amaryllis. Like holy sh*t girl, your screech is so good. You can't deny that Youka Hikasa is very good at acting like a crazy b*tch. I love her voice. I also like Jun's voice, these two were like screeching buddies. Other than them, I feel like they did a great job. Kudos guys.
*Edit: (Add bonus segment, after seeing Youka's carrier as VA)
Holy moly I can't believe I didn't even notice it, this woman's voice acts as Stephanie in No Game No Life, Lord Enorme in Gushing Magical Girl, and Olivier from No Guns Life. No wonder I love her voice.
The last good thing about this anime is the OST. Well, once again, we got the good ol' Suwano on the department to bring the OP and ED. Good job delivering Suwano's masterpiece to the scene, Setsuko. I love the OP and ED a lot. I don't think I should say it again many times about the OST in the anime itself. I'm giving two thumbs up for those.
Anyway, let's move on to the most important part, the plot/story. Man, I was so hyped for this but I got let down. I swear every time I feel like the thing I like gonna be good it always ends up messed up in any shape or form. I do understand why they had to rush the story, their budget is probably not really big to begin with. But man, if only they could extend this anime a bit to marinate a lot of plot points, I guarantee that this anime would be a hit. At least get this anime to hit 24 episodes in length, I can definitely see the potential. But as it is, it felt like Chain Chronicle all over again. So many characters, and so many events going on in one episode that you can't even keep up with what's going on and who is the one in the scene right at that moment. I was disappointed.
Characters. I don't even know what I can say about this section. Even Alma and Hikaru, the MCs of the story, don't even have a strong character to begin with. It's such a letdown.
Overall, I give this anime 6.7/10. It's such a letdown, man. I wish them good luck on their new project, though I can definitely see the potential in Trif. They know how to animate things well. As for now, they only have nine projects, some of them are ok, and most of them are not that good. I hope they can get that hit show to make their name in the field because their animation brings so much nostalgia to me and some of the people who watch this.

First of all, I want to express my appreciation to AniOne Asia for providing this anime for free on YouTube. Second, I want to shout out both tricot and DUSTCELL for making both the OP and ED. These songs are the best this season, no one can change my mind. But the last one, I kind of sad this is the direction of the anime went. Really, I thought this going to be just wholesome SOL but nope, the author went in a different direction and said, let's make it a romance between them.
I want to start with OST. For a very mallow OP and
...
ED, these went hard and captured me so much. I have said on my Twitter that these songs beat both DanDaDan OP and Magilumiere ED. I can't tell how much I love both of the songs. As for the ost on the anime itself... Well you already know at this point, I don't need to repeat myself too much. I do however want to talk about the OP though. I don't know when will I want to talk about it, because I haven't even talked about the Black Summoner one like I promised, so just stay tuned on my Twitter, I guess.
Next the plot/story. I love the start, but I am annoyed at the middle and hate the last. I swear man, why do all of his friends and family make it weird? The maid, Yuki, clearly wants to be normal, and his sister, her enemy, her new friend, like all of them said, "Oh, you two look good together." Like OF F*CKING COURSE, YUKI GOING TO THINK THIS IS NORMAL. When in reality, is not. The plot in the beginning sets the tone very straight, she wants to be normal and Hitoyoshi actually leads her way to becoming a normal person. It's actually very wholesome throughout the anime. Yet whenever I saw Riko in particular, I f*cking hate it. LIKE CAN WE THROW THIS GIRL TO THE OCEAN? Oh my God.
Sorry about that, let's just move on to animation. Ok, I just realized this, but I thought I had seen Felix Film animation, but clearly, I haven't. It's kind of awkward to think I've seen this studio and want to lash out some word, but I will refrain from doing so. I'm just going to point out that Grace, Yuki's enemy, felt out of place. I swear every time I see this woman, she stands out so much from the rest of the cast. I don't know what happened but it's literally just her that looks like that in my eyes. Just want to point that out, other than that, I think it's a decent animation, not super impressive or bad either. So kudos.
I'm going to talk about Yuki's and Hitoyoshi's characters only, I've expressed my hate toward the other cast in the plot/story section enough. For the majority of the anime, I actually love all of their interaction. Hitoyoshi teaches Yuki the way a normal person does things and Yuki learns all of them and actually becomes a pro. You can't deny how wholesome that was and I love that. It is so good... until Riko shows up and forces their relationship to the next level. Bare in mind, Hitoyoshi himself later in the anime is actually self-aware that they both have a far age gap and yet the side character was like, "You two should be together", like again, why? Why would you make it weird? It's already a good story portraying a young boy and his "weird but learning to be normal" maid.
I'm sorry, I banter about it again, my bad. Let's just move on to the last section, the VA. I... I actually don't have anything to say in this section, all of them do a great job. Even the annoying Riko, they all done well. So, yeah kudos and happy you all enjoy voice act in this anime.
Overall I give this 7.6/10. I would give it above 8 if Riko wasn't there. Just saying.

Before reviewing the TV series, I would like to shout out, what I call, the "pilot" episode first.
This is not gonna be long, just want to say. The dedication to this project is mindboggling. I've heard how many were waiting for this pilot to be an official episodic anime and it showed. They nailed it, they got it. That alone has to be framed to their studio. To achieve such an amazing milestone for this small project that took a lot of time is amazing to hear. Congrats to all of the people who work on this from fundraising, standalone manga, and now anime. You
...
guys should be proud of yourself.
Overall, I give this 9.4 for just dedication and the production that went into this. Now I'm going ahead to watch and the TV series, because there is a lot to talk about in that one.

Like DanDaDan, I was also hyped about this anime because I've read it before too but I was disappointed by the lack of providers. Like, come on man, it's only airing in Prime TV, how am I even watching that? Whatever, I already pirate it, thank goodness Indonesians are so dexterous, I've seen some pirate sites provide this anime for me. Sorry guys, I, myself, am a bit disappointed by my rudeness in not watching it on the official site or Prime TV. Like, what am I supposed to do, right?
Anyway, let's get on with the review, starting off with the animation. I am technically
...
not really keen on the animation, especially since the anime was animated by JC staff. You know it will be bad, but surprisingly, I feel it looks decent. And also, Moe production, whom I never heard of. Upon seeing their project seems like it was either a starting anime studio or a dispatch/branch off from JC staff. Just want to say good luck with the studio, hope you'll do great things moving forward. It's a good starting point to animate this anime and I'll be seeing you in the future project.
Now, let's move on to characters. I want to talk about this first because this is the main point of this anime. It's the most emotional writing ever, and I really love that. This first season felt like it was just an introduction to a bigger picture because Kana and her friends are going to develop into the most amazing magical girls ever after this season. and I can't wait to see that when it gets animated.
The only problem is that it just lacks Aoi Lily's appearance, that's all. I've read it ahead, and it probably not going to be on season 2 but just telling you man, my girl, Lily, doesn't get her time at all. She is the most angelic-looking magical girl and her appearance is supposed to be the cure for the world, yet she lacks appearances in the series. Sadge
The story/plot. I'm actually surprised at this. Like I said, I've read this series, and I am shocked that they have an original story to tell. I didn't see that coming at all, whether it was an extra for the end of the episode or the last episode. That just elevates the experience of watching this and I encourage you to watch it. Just please next time, give to more providers. I can't advertise this if you are lacking providers to aired anime.
OST time! I'm going, to be honest with you, I am a bit disappointed with the opening. I'm not downplaying Mafumafu here, it's just that I feel like we can have a better song for the opening than auto-tune. I swear this is the only opening that I skip this season. The ending, however, oh my goodness. It beat DanDaDan ED. (For me at least) It's so good that I always use this song whenever I go jogging. It's SAIKYO, SAIKO, SAIKYO SAAAA. Ahh, it's so good. OST in the anime itself is very good and charming. Again, as I always said for this particular OST, as long it's synchronized with the animation I always give it two thumbs up.
Last but not least, the VA. I want to shout out Hanamori Yumiri because holy sh*t, she just woke me with her acting of Hitomi. Like, WOOOOOWEEE, she nailed Hitomi's voice so well. Other than that I actually did not really expect Shigemoto to have a voice like that, I was expected a little bit higher than what Rikiya Koyama acted. Not that I was disappointed or anything, it was just not quite my liking. Other than that, I like the works of these voice actors and actresses. Good job guys.
Overall, I love this anime, but I have a feeling it's not for all. The main reason why I don't want to recommend this is because of JC staff. Other than that, I also don't recommend it because I want you guys to wait for season 2 because I felt like season 2 provided more action than this first one. So, yeah I say it's 50/50 for this one. You guys can watch if you want or wait till season 2 airs. I give this anime overall a 7.8/10.

You know, when I first finished this I was kind of disappointed with episode 12 being a cliffhanger but thank goodness it will continue around summer next year. That means we got to see Vamola and, if possible, my boi Kinta.
I'm going to start off this review with the OST. I am so amazed by the production; I'm in love with the OST. OP and ED are equally divine, though OP takes the winner here; I like it more than the ED. And then there's the remix of some classic music. Like, who doesn't love that? Kudos to all remixers, music arrangers, and all staff
...
who work in the OST and Sound department. You nailed it.
Second, Story/Plot. I already read this manga way before it got an anime adaptation. I hereby declare it is worth my money. After not only an announcement that it will be an anime but also with Muse Asia providing the anime for free for all Asia to watch, I was so F*CKING hyped. The story was just straight plain and simple. You don't really need a lot of brain cells to figure out the plot and not only that, it is so much fun to read/watch. You have to read or at least watch it.
But as fun and great as watching or reading this it is by all means, not a masterpiece because I do have a little nitpick and that will be in the animation section of my review.
I hate to say it, but as amazing as the animation went, there was also a lot that I feel they could've done better. For example, the photo technique animation. In episodes 1, 2, and 12, for example, there were scenes where there was not a lot of movement but a flash of images just thrown at you. I'm not going to lie to you, it felt cheap, especially when they said this was 2 years in the making. Don't get me wrong though, the animation was so good, especially the fight scene with Acro Silky, and Nessie/Alien. The chase scene with Tarou and Crab Spirit was also insanely good. Look I get it alright, it's just a boring walking sequence, but you could just animate it normally you know and I feel like that would be better than flashes of image.
Anyway, now let's move on to VA. Obviously, the 4 MCs take the cakes for this one, Momo, Okarun, Aira, and Jiji's VA did a fantastic job, I do love Turbo Granny VA but I'm just saying her roles were so small in this season, there were like a little to no scene of her talking except her first appearance. "But Timmy, Jiji only appeared 2 episodes in this season too. How come you praise him more than Turbo Granny?" Yeah, but he was shining brighter than Turbo Granny. The dude is literally over the top. You can feel the VA's passion for bringing Jiji's character to life. I love his VA, it's so good.
Finally, we'll talk about characters. Honestly, I don't even need to talk about this. Not only Okarun and Momo were the best ships, but they also had the best "No more than 100 episodes of misunderstanding" character award. They literally made this duo so likable from the get-go. I praised highly Yukinobu Tatsu sensei for his amazing storytelling. Even Aira, the b*tch that she is, the guy writes her well to the point she is redeemable, like honestly.
Anyway, go watch or even better, read this series. I can tell you 100% that this is worth your time and money, trust me. Oh and if you want to read this you can do so with Manga Plus, available on Android and Apple. Overall I give this season 8.4/10.

What a whacky story we got here. NGL, I'm not expecting the ending there. Well, it was somewhat predictable but I thought it would go a different direction.
Anyway tho, I'm just going to say it's a very well-paced one-shot with a very interesting story.
Idk if any other manga has this plot other than Magilumiere, but seeing more and more "magical girls is for work" settings is kind of fresh, I think. Most of the time, as far as I know, magical girls usually are middle schoolers or high schoolers. Sure it's fun to make such a high-spirited young girl do hero stuff, but like, the
...
milf tho. Can we get one of those, please? A milf magical girl would be pretty awesome.
Overall I give this one-shot solid 8/10.

My goodness, how do I even start?
First of all, I'm really glad for stacks recommendation and post forum of MyAnimeList. This is how I found out about this anime. Second, I want to show my gratitude for this studio because I always thought anime studios big or small always have at least 3 to 5 anime in their name but this studio only has two. Kudos to all of the animators and staff that work on this anime, you are all amazing.
Now let's start this review with animation. As expected from a retro anime, the animation is not that great but that is the charm
...
of it. Even tho it looks rough, it reminds you that this anime aired in the early twenties. Even the aspect of the show using 3:4, that's when you know it's old. I expected it to be rough and I get it how it is.
Second, the OST. I love the ost so much. Usually, I don't want to talk too much about this because as you all know from my reviews, I always said that, as long as the OST and animation mix well together, I always give it appreciation. But not this one, dawg, because I want to praise it more. The OP and ED were an absolute banger, but the one that I want to talk about is the episode's OST. Like omg, I couldn't tell you how much I love it, especially the title OST. I don't know why but that OST just made me feel like I was playing Tom and Jerry Fist of Furry, it was that good and funny. When it was time to be serious, the OST flipped 180 degrees and really hit you good. It's so heartwarming to listen to.
Okay now onto the plot/story. Honestly, I'm kind of disappointed on this one, I thought the moment Pete possessed Tazusa, he would have some control of her body but what I get is a hilarious soul ride. Some kind of parasite that lingers around its target and honestly I actually think this is better. Though, I thought it would be bad because, for the love of god, Tazusa could never talk in silence. Like, girl, you will be seen as a crazy person, please lower your voice. I'm not joking throughout the series I always scream through my PC saying, "Stop embarrassing yourself" but to my surprise, it actually works pretty well. Especially, when that gimmick got to be the plot for one of the episodes. (Poor Mika)
Now, I want to talk about the VA. Just a quick one, they all do great. Especially for the English VA. I always thought the moment Anime using Japanese VA to voice a foreign character would be bad and I wouldn't like it for the rest of the series but here I felt like it was a great use of Japenenglish, because not all of the characters speak fluent English. So, I can actually understand that it was intentional to make them speak very weirdly in English.
Last but not least, the characters. Oh boy, this section would be long but I simply going to talk about the two main characters, Tazusa and Pete.
Tazusa as a character is very charming and annoying. She calls herself the most beautiful woman who ever existed (or something like that) making it clear that she is cocky and she will never get down until she gets what she wants. It actually charming for 16 years old girl, and very realistic as well because her rival is not exactly the same age as her.
Then, Pete, he is as a character is very much just a guy that positive for every condition possible. He looks at things and thinks, ahh life is good, which is the opposite of Tazusa. That's why their chemistry is very good.
Overall, I enjoy watching this series, I give this 8.7/10.

Umaruuun!
I can't say enough how fun it is to watch this series. First of all, I want to thank AniOne Asia for uploading this series on YouTube for free. I've been meaning to watch this series because of the OP. When I first watched it, man, I got hit by nostalgia because I hadn't heard that song for long and just realized that Umaru almost hit the 10th anniversary. Isn't that crazy?
But anyway, let's get into the review.
We are going to review the story/plot first. Actually no, there is no plot, of course. It's a f*cking Slice of Life Comedy, or people like to
...
call it a sitcom for some reason, but that's not the point. The point is that it's so joyful to watch this. As a grown-up who has a brother in university and a sister in high school, this is the most relatable series ever. I relate to Taihei, especially when he is with his annoying little sister like I am with my little sister.
The characters as well, like omg. As annoying as Umaru is, I actually can handle her in her show. I guess it's because I have my own annoying sister, but it's just fun whenever she doesn't get what she wants and gets the punishment she deserves. Then whenever UMARUUN! happen, or she changes her appearance, it's like a completely different character. That in itself is one of the interesting things in the show. The fact that she can deceive people into thinking that she is two different people leads to some fun moments in the show. Heck, actually, she deceives even Shylpin with her 3rd persona, like it so fun to watch.
Anyway, let's move on to the next one, the OST. Like I said, I've been meaning to watch it because of the OP, and I stand by it, it is so good. The fact that Umaru's voice actor sang this song with two voices reminded me of Ayunda Risu of Hololive Indonesia, even before Hololive was a thing. I love that attention to detail. Then the ED is also soooo good. I was actually so surprised to hear both Ebina and Kirie sing, like literally. I never thought these two cinnamon rolls, who are very shy, sing. Then, the foreshadowing on that ED just made me realize how dumb I was. This is not a spoiler I am just letting you know that the ED is actually the final episode of the 1st season. I'm not even joking. I never thought they would do that because most of the time, ED is just random sh*t thrown in there to ease your way for finishing the episode but not for Umaru, apparently.
As of the regular OST, as in episode OST. I will say it again: I very much enjoy it as long as the OST and animation match the mood.
Now, onto the animation review. I can't believe that I never noticed when I saw the OP that the one who animated this is Doga Kobo. Like, man, they are so talented to make SOL so much fun to watch. If you saw the completed series that I've watched, you can clearly see all of the Doga Kobo series that I've consumed. It's pretty much a lot. I like a lot of series produced by Doga Kobo, and it will grow bigger and bigger as I speedrun these animes that I need to catch up on.
And last but not least, the VA. I've mentioned Umaru's VA in the OST section of the review, how about the other VA? Well, I can say that they are very good. I don't really have a complaint. Even as annoying as Umaru and Sylphin can be, they make it so I can watch them two chatting. It's like not super on top, where it becomes hard to watch. It's decent and it's bearable.
Overall, I give this 7.8/10. If you like SOLCOM, this is the series that you have to watch. It's available for free on the AniOne Asia YouTube Channel.

I was finished reading this manga on MangaPlus and want to review it. Upon seeing the review page it only has 1 review. So, here is another one from me.
I want to start with the story/plot. I actually really like the concept of the story and, once again, my same question from the review of The Legendary Hero is Dead, have you seen many fantasy story that is not an isekai? Well, this is one of the few. I love how straight it was from the start. The premise, the goal, and everything. But I have a little complaint to say about this. You see,
...
I said I love the story/plot of this manga right? But the story is centric towards 1 person and him only. That person was the Demon Lord, Rhoda. No matter how much you read it, it is always Rhoda and his story only, other than him is just plot-driven to make the story go forward. Even the main party is just there to be there. The other person that I think probably considers a not-story-driven character is Atty.
Ok, with that out of the way let's move on to characters. I briefly talked about it previously that other than Rhoda and Atty, the other characters are just story-driven characters. Let me get that straight. If you read it through, you can clearly see that everyone except Rhoda and Atty, only has one thing in for their character, and others are just there to give direction. I don't want to spoil anything so, I encourage you to read it yourself. But I have to say even tho this is kind of a problem, as long as the story is interesting, the side/out-of-the-topic character characteristic is not a big deal.
Even if the story or characters are not really great, I would probably still read this because of the art style alone. If you have seen my past review of Rengoku no Karma, I binge-read that from start to finish due to the art alone and I give that series a 4.5/10. I hate that story and characters but I still like the art so, the same can be said here. I love the art style and it is worth looking at.
Last but not least the proportion of the manga panel. This is just nit-picking, but I saw there is one page where the text bubbles and the panel don't really match and I got really confused as to why that happened. Again I'm not going to spoil but there is that and there is also a page where it's just white all the way but only 3 rectangles. I guess I get it it wants to portray that they changing places or changing our perspective on the other side of the world but why they're in the white space? Couldn't you put it on the drawn panel?
Again, this is just a nit-picking. Other than those two little details, I'm fine with the other.
Overall, I give this 8.8/10. Solid manga, recommended to people who like Adventure Comedy.

I originally wanted to watch this as it aired because Masayoshi Ooishi, my oshi, doing the intro but time was not in my hand. But alas, I've finally finished it. And to tell you the honest truth, I love this. Sure it's not the best but tell me, how many stories that exist are like this? It's not an isekai and it's a straight-up fantasy.
We kick things off with VA. Spoiler alert, I'm about to reveal a core plot here, so if you don't want any spoiler you can skip this part. But before that, I want to tell you I enjoy these VAs, man.
...
They absolutely nailed the voice, especially Touka. Man, I never thought this guy would be my fav character in the show. Like seriously his voice is so unique. Do you want to know why?
(Spoiler)
In the very first episode, Toki Shunichi, the voice actor for both Touka and The Hero Sion, is really talented. You can even hear his voice like it is a completely different person and only that is what makes it even more amazing in episode 6 when Touka has to possess his best friend, Yuna, the voice actor for her, Hibiki Yamamura, mimicking the style of speaking for Touka. Isn't that insane? She literally changed the way she speaks. This character Touka literally the one that makes this happen. I am in love with that fact. Can we give a round of applause for these VAs? They deserve to be recognized.
(Spoiler end)
Anyway, let's move on to the Plot/Story. As a fantasy story, I quite like how they went around doing it. I mean killing the OP character straight away in episode 1 is like so bolt of a move and I don't think any story has done that. So kudos to you Subaruichi, I am really impressed by how original that concept was. And the plot moving forward is really a cluster of emotions. In the beginning, we were like, haha funny ecchi thigh guy becoming a hero and never going to be one. Then when it hit us almost half of the series we were like, OMG DON'T DIE TOUKA, YOU CAN DO IT. KILL THOSE DEMON BASTARD. Remind me so much of Cautious Hero and I do like that plot.
Moving on to OST. But at this point, why do I need to review this section? You already read the first paragraph, I'm here because of Ooishi and like always, my man nailed it. I love the OP so much. SHINDAAAAAA! But for the ED not so much but still good.
Other than that, the OST on the episodes itself is actually bopping. Like I always said in a couple of previous reviews I did, as long the OST and the animation flow good, I'm giving them a thumbs up.
Now let's talk about characters. TBH, if Touka didn't have any weird fetish, I felt like it would be better but the thing is, just like Naruto's fight against Kaguya, Touka uses that fetish to his advantage to fight against the necromancers and demons. And also, believe it or not, that fetish is also the plot for his and Yuna's character development. That right there when you know you write a divine piece of the story. Turn fetish for the plot story.
Last but not least, the animation. I'm not really too keen on Lidenfilms but I do know some of their works. I felt the animation could be a little better but I can't really say it's bad. It's basically bear to watch. Not too bad and not too good. It's the average animation on nowadays standard.
Overall, I enjoy my time watching this. I give this 7.5/10
