Solo Leveling, you've most likely seen the hype. There's just something great about seeing an underdog surpass his "limitations". This show does what many fail to do in an amazing way, have a powerful main character successfully.

Story: 8/10, honestly, the main plot is just the MC has a burning desire to get stronger so he can heal his mother's "Eternal Sleep Disease". Whilst incredibly simplistic and not being overly unique, it's executed well and rather than being a detriment actually benefits the show hugely. It's sometimes difficult enough on it's own to keep up with Sung's constant levelling up and new skills, so by having a well-executed and simple plot the show isn't sacrificing anything.

Characters: 7/10, for the most part the characters are pretty good. Obviously the main character gets the most screentime and so we see his changes the most. No complaints regarding the side cast, the only thing is that no-one overly stood out (besides Sung maybe).

Worldbuilding: 9/10, honestly with the whole dungeon system and the entirety of the world being under the new "Dungeon" life this show does a remarkable job at introducing new landmarks/characters without damaging previously established characters or compromising Sung's goal of eventually helping his mother.

Animation: 10/10, the animation is brilliant in this series. Fights are fluid and look good and you can tell a lot of work went into them.

Soundtrack/BGM: 8/10, the OP/ED are pretty good, not my favourites by any means, but definitely fit the vibe of the series well. No complaints about the BGM and it really fits the scenes.

Overall, this show has earned its hype for a reason. It's good and due to its simplistic nature is easy to dive into the story and get stuck in without any hassle. Highly recommended for fans of action shows, but honestly it wouldn't hurt to check it out as the show does a grand job of hooking viewers fairly quickly.
